Hi there everyone,

HELP!  I have been struggling with almost a continuous cold since the end of October.  I have Fibromyalgia which has been NASTY since then too.  I just purchased the Arthritis and Fatigue books and a bunch of NAP supplements.  I also am on Augmenten now as I ended up with a sinus infection.  Hate to do it, but I wasn't getting better.  Now, even on the antibiotic, I'm coming down with another cold.

Is COLLOIDAL SILVER okay for Type 0's?  It seems to be a very useful product.  Also, how about CATS CLAW????

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.  What do you all do for COLDS?

I use Zicam too.  I take lots of supplements that are supposed to help colds, etc.  I'm VERY discouraged as I wonder if I'll ever get well!

Thanks.
Patty

How long have you been on the BTD? In other words, how long were you on the BTD prior to getting this cold?

What are the supplements that you are taking for your cold?

Are you taking any probiotics along with the antibiotics, such as NAP's Polyflora O? If not, you might want to consider doing so.

If you are considering a silver product I would look at Heallix

Have you looked at The D'Adamo Health Protocols for supplementation ideas? You might specifically want to look at the Antibiotic Support Protocols and Anti-Viral Support  Protocols, but maybe also the Anti-Bacterial Support Protocols and Immune Support Protocols.

I've been on the BTD for many years.  However, I've been following if faithfully for a good 3-4 months now (meaning NO GLUTEN whatsoever).  I do have 1 cup of coffee/day and am going to work on ridding myself of it.  I eat organic beef when I can and lots of chicken too.  I eat a HUGE salad everyday with extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice on it with a handful of raw walnuts.  If I have any bread, it's totally gluten free (no corn either) or a small piece of manna bread.  I just bought a bunch of D'Adamo's supplements.  I'm also under the care of a doctor who has me on a bunch of supplements (amino's, vits, minerals, etc.).  He tells me to follow the BTD too!

I already have colloidal silver from LifePlus, which is an extremely good product.

I just purchased the Polyflora 0.  I've been on probiotics for YEARS.  I was told not to take PROBIOTICS during antibiotic treatment, but right after it.

My other question was about Cats Claw.  That's supposed to be good for Immune function, but is it okay for Type 0?

I also take other supplements for my immune system (that are good for Type 0).

I can recommend Heallix.
We were in very 'iffy' company on Sunday and I mean colds/flu BIG TIME!!!
I felt sure that one of us would have caught something.
Anyway, I didn't feel too well yesterday so took 2 doses during the day and feel fine now. Today my husband started to feel unwell, so he's had some too and as I type...is feeling much better.

cats claw is advised for Bs

elderberry has kept people cold free, as well as vit C from rose hips or acerola cherry.

If you have fibro, then it would be in your best interests to ditch all grains.  Let them go.  You don't need them.  Are you Rh- or Rh+?

My recommendation would be to concentrate on the Super Beneficials from the Health Series Books for two weeks.  Nothing but super bennies.  Beneficial protein; beneficial veggies.  No neutrals; no avoids.  For two weeks. While you have the infection, I'd cut out fruits for a short time.

For the sinus infection, I'd use a Neti Pot with an isotonic strength saline solution.  At least once a day, ideally two or more.

Are you taking any astralgus?  It's the first ingredient listed for Type O's in the anti-bacterial and the anti-viral protocols.  I understand Dr. D's Respatone® is also very good for this too.

Are you taking any Larch (ARA6)?  That has immune enhancing properties.  I'd be taking at least a teaspoon a day; ideally two.

ETA: I've never had much luck using coloidial silver for cold/flu infections.  What has helped me was a cool moisture humidifier.  Helps knock it out of the lungs big time.

I don't see where Cat's Claw is the ideal herb for Type O's.  Maybe helps other types, but not Type O.

cats claw is a good neutral herb for cleaning and disinfecting, not sure about it's specific status for O's.  Collidial Silver can work well, but I wouldn't rely on it since it is a heavy metal.  If you have any metal issues at all I would avoid it
