Buckwheat is related to rhubarb.

that being so, still rhubarb is an avoid for all and buckwheat is not. isn't this what we should be going by?

The 'Pure Radiance C' arrived today, so have taken my first capsule...
NP said the only problem for me might be with the added 'sweet berries' but to take them for 5-7 days and see how I feel....as I said I'd be the guinea pig...will keep you posted!!

It sounds like such a great product.  Yes, please let us know how it feels to your body, Janet.

OK, 1st report on the Pure Radiance C.

I started off by taking: Day 1- 1 cap, Day 2- 2 caps, Day 3- 3 caps and so far have had no ill effects.

But my husband who has only taken 1 per day for the last 4 days has had problems.
He says he feels constipated and as if he's eaten something like wheat...most uncomfortable.
So I reckon he should stop taking it, I'm sure it must be the capsule because it's the only new thing he's taken - no food out of the ordinary.
He's taken it in the morning and by early evening starts to feel better.
I'm not really sure what is in it that he's sensitive to.

What blood type is your husband, Janet?

If I remember right, my only concern with the product was the pepper.  I don't know if they freshly grind it, or if it possibly is ground black pepper, which is an avoid for many (if not all) of us.

I soak 'rosehips' during the night and drink the next day.......I blend the cup of water with the constituted rosehips.
haven t had a cold in years!!

Lola what about all thesse little hairs that are inside the rosehip?
Don't they bother you?
Do you drink it all times or only when you feel you need it?
Thanks  Ion

Irene,
the dried rose hips I get have no hairs!

there are seeds though but those I spit out, cause they re hard!

Well Lola I thought all rosehips have little 'hairs' among the seeds.
of course when fresh can be moved away. I tried once to do it.
But... too much of work!

I am glad you can find fresh rose hips!

down here it is impossible to find a source that is organic, etc.

the ones I use come from NY, organic and dried.
soaking them during the night in water, helps reconstitute them and make a very fruity kind of drink, once you grind it all together.

There is Synergy's Pure Radiance C 100% natural whole food vitamin C product too.

Just coming up to two weeks taking the Vit C...and have had no problems.

Had a visit to the hospital on Monday for a histerscopia; told the Consultant that I'd taken some Vit C which contained ascorbic acid and it had triggered Candida.
"Noooo", he told me emphatically...ascorbic acid wouldn't give you Candida. Well, I said to myself...that's all you know!!

I have gotten the rose hip in bulk at health food stores (generally with tea & herbs).

Frontier Natural Foods Co-op sells rosehips as a powder, cut and sifted or whole, by the pound.  Some items are listed as seedless in their catalog.  Frontier sells retail or people can form a buying club to get products at wholesale, if they don't have a business.  Website is http://www.frontiercoop.com.  I don't know if they ship outside the U.S.

You're most welcome.  And thanks for YOUR welcome. : )  I joined the forum maybe 10 days ago and quickly gathered suggestions before going compliant last Saturday.  Haven't posted since, while I went thru detox brain fog.

Just looked at the Frontier print catalog again and noticed that each rosehips category (powder,  C/S and whole) contains both a "natural" product and an organic one.  And none has an indicator that it contains additional ingredients.

will have to check on that "natural" product. Lots of things are natural, such as arsenic. . I mean
