I am really shocked that I suffered arm pain from 'injury' and no one ever suggested that CHRONIC pain could be from heart condition.  I am posting this so that anyone with (especially) left side arm pain from whatever source please check your heart right away.

Heart attacks are silent - pain - yes but tooo late...

My arm was hurting from a fall and over stretching and no matter what I did some of the damage was not going away... Some of the damage was repaired, some I learned to do exercise with that worked and some was from my heart.   So never underestimate arm pain.. it just might be a warning from your heart suffering before the big one.

I was curious about my oxygen levels and pulse rate, so I pursued the answer.. without it I might have never come here again to tell you the good news.. hahaha ...

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Thanks for posting, Goldie. It is so easy to blame aches and pains on other things besides our hearts. I read a while back that lower back pain can be a sign of heart problems too. Of course, that can be caused by so many other things, therefore, all this tells me that we SHOULD have a good checkup every year, which I do.

A reminder of the symptoms of a heart attack:
Quoted Text
•Chest pain or discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center or left side of the chest. The discomfort usually lasts for more than a few minutes or goes away and comes back. It can feel like pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain. It also can feel like heartburn or indigestion. The feeling can be mild or severe.
•Upper body discomfort. You may feel pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, shoulders, neck, jaw, or upper part of the stomach (above the belly button).
•Shortness of breath. This may be your only symptom, or it may occur before or along with chest pain or discomfort. It can occur when you are resting or doing a little bit of physical activity.
I had a false heart attack - tightness in the chest, arm cramps, cold sweats, and difficulty breathing.  In my case this came from rib muscles cramping and putting pressure on my enlarged heart.

It is always a good idea to make the call if the possibility of a heart attack comes to mind.  Causing inconvenience, or looking foolish is nothing beside the consequence of calling too late or not at all.
