Well I had been taking the sups suggested by Dr. D..  I trusted the suggestions and took them.  I was also told to walk 3 times a day for so many minutes.  Until tonight I had no clue as to why.

Well, I tested very low on Vit D, which I never suspected, but agree- as soon as I get it - that I do not go outside much -to absorb it naturally.  WELL, NOW obviously!!!!! walking three times UNDER the SUN in the outdoors is the real reason!!!!

With my recently discovered heart issues, Vit D becomes way more important for me and my cholesterol issues.  I was told to walk three times a day, and that alone did not impress me.  But reading up on some things NOW I discovered why it is:  Walking out of doors will increase my exposure to the sun and thus rearranges my low Vit. D!!!!!!!  All my indoor walking is useless!!!

I was also getting some CoQ10 in my sups and had not much of on inkling as to its value.  Well it seems vital for my cell health, especially with my diabetes and heart issues, and NOW my brain issues as well.

I was reading a while back that diabetics are 50% more likely to develop Altzheimers... Nice. NO!  But now I learned -in the middle of the night- that my brain may be at bigger risk do to meds as prescribed. Nice. NO!!!

It took me weeks to finally go online and read up on this or that.  Before I was overwhelmed, or just coasting, until today and my 2am reading...

I am shocked that 'I' just don't get it!  I don't get 'it' when someone tells me to take this or that.. I might take it, I might even adhere to things without questioning, for a while.. Yet when I read up on lets say CoQ10 and Vit D and cholesterol, then suddenly Dr. D's sups as suggested become way, way more important.

I read: that more sunlight is what is needed, NOT JUST the 'walking' as exercise alone - That is revolutionary information.  It makes all the difference in understanding why 'walking' is good to do. Heck I might move my computer 'work' out doors and absorb way more rays, now that I know why walking - in sunlight -is supposed to be healthier.  Even walking in a gym, or weight bearing exercise can not take the place of BEING out of doors absorbing sun- rays!!!!

With that, the sups become 'health' saving. Suddenly the ingredients in the sups become way more 'exciting', way more comprehensive.  What a difference additional information makes.

I might have to stay up more nights and read more about each ingredient, in each of the sups, just so that I can figure out why I ought to take them...  I do so much more willingly if I have something to grab hold of and learn to make 'sense'...  It makes the effort and expenses so much more valuable, so much more rewarding!

Had I ever been told to walk to absorb sunlight, I might have embraced walking for all sort of different reasons, 'walking' having little to do with it.  I might go on my back porch and internalize sunlight way more often.. I will exchange walking in sunlight to walking in the shade, realizing the value of the sun, I will not mind getting hot in sun light, going so far as taking a wet towel for my neck to cool me off.  (Hot flashes not withstanding) wow is all I can sy, wow!

Information is so much more than just sales talk.  Dr. D. is Right again... I am ordering refills today... ha-ha

Parrots cannot absorb vitamin D from indoors unless the window is open. It's because glass panes filter out the vitamin D from the sunlight.

At my house, parrots are people, and people are parrots

This is remarkable..    I remember years decades ago they switched coffeemate to non coconut oil, and I felt then that it was much better with coconutoil... the / my body /brain knew!

I  don't exactly remember , but in my Swami it is best avoided, yet I think push to shove, it might be good as a medicinal type specialty???

I am currently not having any fat in my diet of meat and vegetables, Yet many decades ago Adelle Davis advocated for some children that they needed fats from mayo, or even coconut oil by the 5-6 spoon full.. .. I would trust her as well when it come to a crisis.

I might have to ask more about this, and or get the book mentioned.

MANY thanks for sharing that link!!!
Cloe was it someone in your family who is ill also.. how is it going?

Seraffa.. yes indeed you are correct, one has to go to the out-of-doors..

Goldie, my daughter in law is having difficulty getting her elderly parents to listen to anything that
wasn't recommended by her parents conventional medical doctors..  Her mother, 82 with Alzheimers is failing miserably.  She's worse each time I see her.  This past weekend, she
was totally out of it......I wanted so badly for her to be able to try using some coconut oil....Alas, I doubt this will happen.  Hopefully, sharing this info with you might help you in some beneficial way.

The little particles shown in the video explained to me why my heart doctor wants me on low low carbs.. basically none.. I sort of did not know what she was suggesting for me to do, even though I know all about low carbs.. Yet this doctor went really on a rampage- ha-ha- no dairy, no starches, no sugar, fat free everything, meat and veggies only..

Well if it will help my brain, it might also help my liver or whatever, seeing that video made things so clear....

I am sorry you have to suffer seeing others adhere to old rules, it hurts to see them suffer and you can just stand by.. sad..

I shared the video with others who are in need to have a visual, YOU made a difference by sharing it.. Thanks.

Yep!

I am very fair.  But I make a point of going out into the bright sun (when my shadow is shorter than me) to soak up the rays for 20 minutes.  I expose as much skin as possible for a limited time before I burn.  I don’t shower afterwards because I want my body to soak up the D.

All of it seems overwhelming but once you get on board, you’ll wonder why more people don’t do it.

They have never been told to 'walk' in the sun..

NOW I have found that : I can go on line and look for videos on near all things I have a question on.  I never took advantage of this much.  I am still relying on gathering info verbally, well actually there is a video explaining nearly everything. For instance what are all the ingredients in any pill, there is a video about it.. this might make it way easier to learn about things, doctors for instance do not tell you about.  Might as well look for self education.
