I hope I am welcomed to the club!! And I know the scientific meaning of non-secretor status....but what exactly does it mean diet-wise? Foods are processed differently by non-secretors?

I have read a few of the sensitivity posts and whatnot....I get it!! I am totally in the norm here

Now to do the genotype work.....

In the Blood Type Diet, there is a different list of foods and ratings for secretors and nonsecretors. This is given in the Live Right for Your Type Book. Online blood type ratings for single foods are given here (for both secretors and nonsecretors):

http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm

But since you intend to go onto the GenoType diet, the blood type diet ratings are irrelevant.

The way nonsecretors digest food is incorporated into their GenoType.  Nonsecretors in the GenoType diet, just follow the food ratings of whatever type they are.

Ok, thanks!!

But I actually wondered the "why" for non-secretors of why certain foods are "medicine" for type A secretors, but just neutral for type A non-secretors. I haven't found any specific info on that...I don't believe.

Anyhow....I appreciate your reply C-sharp!

Might be an idea to find out whether you are an A1, A2 or A3 and what you MN subgroup is if NN then its important also recommend Swami for most people but especially if Nonnies.

you r symbol in your profile does not show what whether you are rhesus negative or positive by the way.

Where do you live?

A secretors are biologically different from A nonnies, just as As are biologically different from ABs. As nonnies, our bodies are slightly different than our "secretor cousins" so our food lists are a little bit different.

Yes the Rhesus is the negative or positive.

you cab get a A blood type subgroup test which tells you if you are A1, A2 or A3.

you can get a NM blood test which will tell you if you are MM MN or NN, NN makes the most difference. regarding Fat intake.

Being a nonnie doesn't mean that you're "doomed" to have health problems. All it means is that you know more about your body, and you're empowered to make even healthier food choices.

If you need to start slow, that's fine. If you want to share what your typical diet is like now, I can help you with practical advice on where to make changes. Are you cooking for other family members as well?
