I have been looking around a bit.. not much good info on what foods to eat or not to eat to avoid Estrogen promoting foods?

If the Adrenals create estrogen, then is decaf a double no-no? Just how much of it?

Is there more for me to know than SWAMI?

Is there a question anyone would want me to ask when on Monday I go to the Doc's in CT?

I am  looking forward to learning much..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

I don't know about the foods to avoid estrogen.

Going to see Dr. D., the Shift, or another SWAMI Genotype using practitioner is the only thing better than SWAMI Xpress for your specialized diet information.

As for questions: get all the questions you have answered.  It is important that you get as much information as you can about your condition.

Goldie, if you're going to the clinic on Monday, you will find out everything you need to know...No
need to create any diet of your own right now. Or eat or eliminate anything regarding estrogen.  You're going to get a highly specific professional diet....It wil negate any SWAMI you presently use.  Just wait until Monday....Trust me on this....You will leave with all your questions answered.  Just make a list of the questions you have....That's all you need to think about right now..  {{{{{{hugs}}}}}

Many pesticides, including some used on food crops, are estrogenic.  The growth hormone they give to cows is estrogenic, so avoid dairy unless it's BGH free.  If you can, eat organic only.
Also avoid BPA, in plastic things, which affects hormones.

I am interested in getting anti... underarm something.  I seldom sweat, but the odor is personal.. I have used a little baking soda and that seems to work ok..

but there are other things, like NOT using the electric pad any more (suposed to enhance breast cancer, and I used one often.. .. going back to hot water bottles.

This will be exiting.

My doc was suportive of my new low carb schedual, I have been doing since the (sugar experience during surgery**)   I did for two cicles of 5 days.. no hunger, feel good, use Oil as before), 5 days low carbs (below30) and then after the 5th day after dinner -in the evening upload with all carbs I wish for until midnight.  No soda..   So far so good.  **Diabetes numbers came down..

Here's some general information, however the diet you'll be given should take all your health issues
into consideration.

I totally agree about what's been said with avoiding plastic if you can. Eating a lot of cruciferous
vegetables and keeping your blood sugar under control.  Notice this article mentions that low thyroid
function can increase bad estrogen in the body.....so perhaps ask questions about thyroid support....
whether you need to eat more iodine rich foods or have seaweed as a part of your diet.  I'm wondering if a sluggish metabolism which you've experienced has led to an under active thyroid,
whether your blood tests have been normal or not.  Most people with cold hands and feet, an
inability to lose weight, thin hair or hair loss indicates low thyroid function.

Just something to read and perhaps this might lead to some questions you'd like to ask the shift/Dr. D

I'm glad you're going to Dr. D's clinic!  Write your list of questions and take it with you.
In the meantime, check out these:

DetoxiCal-D:  Calcium D-glucarate is a form of glucaric acid, which is utilized in the body to enhance the process by which the body rids itself of potentially dangerous environmental pollutants, including foreign organic compounds, fat-soluble toxins and excess steroid hormones such as estrogen.

Aromastat:  In women, most of the research on aromatase inhibitors addresses the treatment of clinical conditions known to be linked with excess estrogen production or sensitivity.

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me not pass you by in quest
of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
