I usually scrub floors with my feet. Take off socks and use the feet instead of the hands for scrubbing. It uses different muscles and there's no bending over involved. If I DO bend over, I get down on my hand and knees; I don't just bend forward at the waist.

Interesting!  I could try the feet thing!  Might be a great new exercise, and effective cleaning method at the same time--towanda!

As far as the hands and knees thing, though, no can do, sadly:  my knees and/or hamstrings won't allow that anymore.  Hard to explain, but it is very painful to impossible.  That is why I was doing so much bending from the knees and basically hanging my head down/forward too low.

btw, my vertigo is much better today, so I'm pretty worried about my regularly scheduled chiro visit for my back today, as he has me on the table, face down, for part of it.  I'm worried the crystals that are apparently moving back into place now, will move in a bad way again.  Also, lesser concern, I'm sure that I will have an actual vertigo episode when he has me turn onto my left side...but I'm hoping it will be fleeting and, if I just stay there, it will pass.  All in all, I'd rather change the appt, but I've decided to just go.  It is too short notice to change it, imho.  Not fair to the doc.  Plus my back will benefit, and I want to keep it happy happy now, with all the packing and moving that is HOPEFULLY going to be coming up for me (if my house sells--how long does it take a realtor to get it on the MLS?  It doesn't seem to be there yet, after 8 days...I have a sign in the yard and that's it).  And I'll probably be fine.

Chiros might actually help you// you might tell him about moms treatment.. dropping backaward without you using a muscle..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!
