On Swamixpress: Are You Lactose Intolerant:     Lactose Intolerant

If I did not check that would my dairy have changed?  Would other things change?

I wonder.. the same also on caffeine sensitivity? ... I wonder.. how much would be changed by different answers even while still always Gatherer.

It is time locked so I can not test it.. it does  ot matter, just would like to know...

Calculator Choice: Using Standard GenoType Calculation Tools.

NOTE: You have chosen GT2 Gatherer as your GenoType, overriding the computed GenoType (GT4 Explorer)

I never saw this.. could it be that I am supposed to change what I 'know' about me?

What would change?  What would be the biggest differences?

Now I wonder, did I mess me up??  Should I start from scratch??

Goldie I understand that you don't have the book 'The Genotype Diet', so you don't have a reference

Few examples from GT4 diet:
Butter is a toxin - Ghee is diamond
Chicken egg is black dot
Atlantic Salmon is toxin
Tilapia is toxin
Tuna is toxin
Striped Bass is toxin
Sesame seed & butter are black dots
Flaxseed, linseed oil is black dot
Oat bran is black dot
Cottage cheese is black dot
Sweet Potato is black dot
Commercial and Portobello mushrooms are toxins
Buckwheat is black dot
Chocolate is black dot
Dates are toxins
Peach is toxin

100% Sprouted Wheat is superfood

This is not SWAMI but from the book, only to give some idea...

I am ordering another Geno book as soon a sthe office opens... darn it I keep loaning books out and just never get them back.. doing the same thing expecting different results..... I wonder about the people I trust??????

The answers above are interesting already!  Thanks..

Eggs, which is a breakfast addiction with me always eating one to many - I kind of suspected lately that eggs might not be OK for me / the body tells me.
Tuna, I have eaten in my twenties, then stopped, but recently had it 2-3 times a month in tuna salad.  Will change that!
Flaxseeds, I never liked, bought flax oil several times and never used it more then once.  The body knows.
Oats, I can have three times a year. The body can handle that.
Dairy, still not any I will check the book and by the way I will adjust the Swami answers.
Sweet potatoes, I wonder about Yams? will check on that, but eat seldom anyway.
Chocolate, there was never any issue, the 85% I ate little of, now that I am taking the olive oil for any craving or in-between eating, I have less desire for chocolate - just all interesting.
Dates and peaches, I had already lost.

Coffee, what to drink in it's place, I just do not like anything else?  I am going to switch to tea, which I can do with a little sugar, I will try to just switch that sugar to Trehalose complex and see if that will make it OK.  I would be happy to give up decaf if I could replace drinking on easy item -readily available everywhere- I will redouble my efforts.

Sprouted Wheat??? as in wheat grass juice? or is there a bread ? like Ezekiel? but that is not available here anyway, so may not matter anyway...

I think this came at a good time for me.  I am dropping weight every month, (oil diet which is the easiest I ever could adhere to- no hunger diet) and I can see that some small changes might just be enough to tweak the body enough to matter.

I am looking forward to the changes, but ask:  What becomes of my propensity / having diabetes as Gatherer?

I am surprised that in the line about 42 % Gatherer it did not say 58% Explorer, or some other clue that I may have other then Gatherer suggestions / measured in CT and accepted in total by me. Yet, I would  have looked at both listings and focused on them both earlier. I do not remember checking the line about what I am. I always thought I had allowed the computer to choose.

To bad, but by being awash in Gatherer info will make the changes to Explorer easier, but will matter greatly and show up as improvements really fast.

As soon as I get the Geno book, I will use only the advanced calculator and watch this video to double check

http://www.4yourtype.com/swamixp_video.asp

then answers will become interesting.. what about sups/ will they change also?

I wonder should I buy a second swami, one for gatherer and the other for new Explorer considerations..?   just for comparisons between them..

No need for a second SWAMI.  Time locked fields can be reset.

You can run the software with whatever GenoType you want.

For most people, it is best to let the software do the work and have it calculate what your GenoType is.

GenoType:

MIfHI                            I follow a SWAMI diet.

The data is from the book, so it is still to be seen how swami will rate sprouted wheat for you.  Anyway, here is a brand of 100% sprouted wheat bread.

Looks like a great bread for those who want to eat 100% sprouted whole wheat.  Wish they carried it in the U.S.

I am reading the food list for Exploreres.. interesting.. but Gatherer is much more familiar in foods I like or dislike.. Will see how I will change..

Eggs and bananas might be a near avoid for me now.. two foods I rely on for fast foods..

Breakfast might become a problem, or switch to broth.. will try..

Farmer cheese or cottage cheese - never ate it before, might be interesting as a food to add..once in a while.. still stay away from dairy.. have little interest.. wish it could be yogurt.. that I would like the looks of better..??..

Turkey a food in the Diabetes foods list is a possibility,, I wonder how to cook one for one person.. haha

Good thing I hardly ever eat chicken..

I think I am going to let them erase the gatherer distinction and let the computer choose.. will see what that will accomplish..

well in a way starting with the above answers -- and --all over - with BTD/ Geno again//

Letting the program decide your genotype is very easy and you could do that without changing anything else.  Do you feel sure it is going to change you to Explorer?

As far as turkey, my grocery store sells split breasts, if you like white meat.  And they sell single turkey legs, if you like dark meat.  And there is always ground turkey - either white or dark.  There are also boneless turkey tenders, from the turkey breast.

I go by the GTD book and not my SWAMI because I have yet to get around to getting a fingerprint kit and the fingerprint info is a mandatory field, so I just basically eyeballed my fingerprint patterns (NOT a good idea) and ran my SWAMI.  Therefore, I don't trust the results because I'm not sure I gave it accurate data.  The GTD works great for me, but one of these days I will get my SWAMI sorted and, when I do, I will go by it, as it is the most customized/individualized of all the Dr. D diets, short of actually going in person and having Dr. D prescribe a specific diet for you.  SWAMI is awesome...but ya gotta put the right info in there, and also update it if anything changes.  For example, now that I've lost even so much more weight since I ran mine ages ago, I would need to re-enter my measurements and weight.  I think that impacts the results.  The best computer program in the world is only as good as the accuracy of the data it has to work its magic on, peeps.

Cook the whole bird, then cut it off of the bone, wrap single serving portions for storage in the freezer.  Take one out and warm up to eat.  Steaming is wonderful to put in a lettuce wrap with cheese, avocado, onion slice, etc... as is compliant.

You could also put a single serving in with cooking rice to have "chicken and rice", and eat with compliant vegetables for a meal...

So many ways to make it work tastefully...

I am going to check the book now that I got a new one, I will compare mostly all avoids and eliminate them in either side.  I think that Swami already took some Explorer answers into consideration and eliminated some already.

The way I will know for sure is to have Bob at the store turn off my old answer and see what happens then.  Generally the foods in Explorer feel wrong-er to me. Even the descriptions of the Geno Type feel wrong, but I am open to make some changes like eggs, cut them to less, makes sense.  I seem to be 'addicted' to the simplicity of cooking and the versatility of them, and all foods we get 'addicted' to might just not be that good for us.

I will take another look at all answers, while learning to look deeper into Swami.
