I have just started to drink a glass of warm water with lemon and Trehalose Complex in the middle of the night.. I seem to like the feeling when I get up.. it is sweet tasting.. and makes the lemon ok to drink.. first time in my life..
I eat sugar in other food forms when out - so TC with lemon is a nice change- but for those who still cook and bake with sugar I would very much suggest to try plain TC ... it might answer many needs. Like in tea, or any other drink.. like in making your own soda by adding fruit juice to it and some Trehalose.. might be yam..
I am now mostly not even thinking of fruit any more.. it and the sugar in it just triggers desires I don't need. I find other places I can resist less and get enough 'crappy' sugar in that way. Any day in which I stay away from any sugar is a great day.. and those days become easier if I am home.. it is foods I 'see' that make me weak..
When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfectionBeing 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships
Thank you Great advice. Is Xylitol good for us nonnies ?
Xylitol is usually made from corn, making it an avoid for all Os. Some xylitol is made from birch bark, and I don't know how that would rate for O nonnies. I don't think it's been evaluated. It would certainly be a better choice than the corn-based one, but I'm not sure it would necessarily be a healthy choice.
Too much xylitol can also cause diarrhea, gas, and bloating. I could see using it in a mouthwash or toothpaste, but not to sweeten baked goods.

When I had xylitol once (corn derived one) it made me feel crazy, angry & sooo over-reactionary within the hour (poor husband copped it, for something that I wouldn't normally have reacted so badly to)
If apples bother you but berries don't you may have issues with fructose. Unfortunately agave has a high fructose to glucose ratio, so watch for any reactions to that.
Vegetable glycerine is good for subtle sweetness, but I don't like the flavor if too much is added.

Oh, thank you. I'll be attentive.
