have any of you had annoying acne and goosebump skin!? I am beginning to think that I am a non-secretor more and more, because I'm pretty sure soy breaks me out and i'm an O, and I just have such bad skin, although I don't get sick a whole lot. |

I am thinking that non-secretors are more prone to skin issues, is that just stereotyping?
Things that I think are neutral actually break me out. I wish there was a chart for non secretors at my fingertips. I am going to get the wallet, card and try the non-secretor ways with the database for now. |

I no longer have "goosebump" skin. I used to have it on the back of my arms and upper thighs. I will still get breakouts around my mouth which isn't acne but more like blistering if I stray too much. It turns bright red when I eat the wrong foods - (sugar, dairy and potatoes cause the quickest reactions for me) then they dry out and leave me with raw peeling skin. I also have psoriasis but it's really not much of an issue for me anymore. |

I remember reacting so badly to white potatoes that my hands would burn and break out as soon as I started pealing them. Instead of realizing that this was something I definitely needed to avoid, I simply started baking them after a good scrubbing!! Of course, I was only around twenty years old when that was going on! |

try dry brushing from time to time, and give your targeted BT/GT plan time to do its resetting |

Hi there!! Yep I get very quick reactions to things I eat/drink, put on my skin or even breathe in & they don't necessarily have to be avoids Looking back on previous posts, when I am detoxing, things are much better... (which of course would make total sense )I haven't done a BTD detox as such, but have taken liver support herbs etc... I recently started using betonite clay (more as a paste to dab on, than internally) & digestive enzymes & it all seems to be helping Been eating out a bit lately as my sister & her husband arrived in town Sunday afternoon & funnily enough, yesterday I ate a few small chips off a shared lunch plate & even had equivalent of a whole medium sized baked potato last night, with absolutely no problems...??!! Also had coleslaw as it was a very limited salad bar where we ate dinner... Does anyone ever get potatoes (or cabbage) back as an O? |

My skin issues really cleared up when I started fish oils. Forgot to post that. Totally cleared up my psoriasis. Eat a lot of greens, that also helps me a lot. I made kale chips to munch on today. I see a lot on betonite clay - I will have to look that up. I also started bitters drops recently, and yep, they are just that! |

What is that link please? Says it was "Scrapped from: http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm Date scrapped: 24/04/2006" I discovered fish oils were great for inflammation I had in my hip a couple of years ago, but I went on to take too many... so am not overly keen to rely on them again, particularly as the ones I have also contain lemon oil, which I seem react to |

You realize that the information on this site is 6 years old... I don't know how many changes took place during that time, but it is better to get current information from the source. http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm
It seems pretty up to date still though! it links right to the type 4 |

"way back when" I was not following this way of eating, I had those goosebumps under the skin of the backs of my upper arms. The BTD completely cleared up the situation and very fast, too. If you are a non-secretor, you may find that you cannot eat avoids at all without paying some kind of price. That has been true for me.
I rarely eat Neutrals either. My diet is probably 85% Superfoods and Diamonds and 15% Neutrals. I don't consider Toxins (avoids) as food and just don't go there. |

I think I have shared this before somewhere, but I had those bumps on the back of my upper arms from my teens to my 20s. I found that more vitamin A & sunlight got rid of them.
I love potatoes, but avoid them. But in Oct. & Feb. when we were traveling, I had large portions of McDonald's fries with not outward adverse reaction. But I bet if I started having them every week or month, it would be bad. I still stay away from them as a general rule. |

I had a friend break out in a rash on her wrist after eating flax seeds. I inquired at my naturopath appt about this. She said some people when taking flax seeds, evening primrose or borage oils that it follows the inflammatory pathway and will cause skin reactions. Like a rash or acne on the face and back. |

more reason to get a swami and find out how food rates for one individually By the way, BT/GT guidelines, now my swami pro report are 'a party in my mouth'!!!! contrary to the SAD diet I was on 15 years ago and feeling miserable hope this lifestyle change also becomes 'a party in your mouth' as well!!! haha 'nothing tastes better than health does', remember |

Histamines are related to allergies and skin reactions. I think nonnies prob have more issue with excess histamine release than secs. A lot of foods stimulate histamine release and can cause issues inside and out. I could be dead wrong about the nonnies and histamine thing though. |

I have a mild allergy to soy and I've read (and noticed) that even the slightest allergies can cause acne, cancre sores, and other ignored symptoms. Get a skin allergy test? |

I went walking through thick woods middle of last week. Drank a lot of bourbon and sprite on saturday for a wedding. Sunday had poison ivy flare up!!! (not a bad one but still ain't fun ) Guess the bourbon didn't work for poison ivy Maybe red wine would have been better for it!!! |

The sprite might have done more damage than the bourbon- all that sugar and/or corn syrup isn't good for anybody. You may have corn syrup as a neutral, since you're an A, but it's still a concentrated source of sugars and too many sugars weakens the immune system. |
