*drool* (going to get duct tape for mouth).......

I am SO dissapointed, but not entirely dissapointed, to say the least, that my secretor status and slow Explorer liver are urging me to have more homeade rice crust pumpkin pie today.

I am dissapointed for 2 reasons: the one being that the rice crust is very crispy and good, so you can take our your frustrations by crunching on "yet another little personal pie" (which I made so as to have enough for Christmas when I baked), and the other reason being -- this is the day I go back to the Advent Fasting Season, and as a Nonnie, I should KNOW better than to lean on grains as a snack. If I had gone off BTD completely yesterday at my Aunt's house taking a spoonful of everything in sight, I would have been in the toilet binge/vomiting  all over again for sure as an active Bulimic.

I wonder if there are gentle liver cleansers that are different from Dr.'s recommended "Castor Oil Pack" to help me out before bedtime right after a day of festing? Are there? I tell you: this is just like an anti-hangover remedy for me in particular, if I can find something that works   Otherwise *tightening belt*....I'll just have to "suck it up" next time with my portions!

Just had some more of the cranberry-cherry-pineapple fruit compote to see if it will pass, and will have a bowlfull of veggies and some sardines for protien as well. I must remember not to be overly angry with myself out of frustration or it will get worse. Glad I have the day off, too!

There is a brand that I buy called Udi's that has gluten free cookies, bagels, etc. Whole foods carries it. http://udisglutenfree.com/

Also Whole Foods has their own gluten free brand. They have a pumpkin pie that is yummy!

No doubt "yum". However, either hunters or warriors are fast acetylators. I am a slow acetylator, meaning the food is cycling around in my liver and/or body longer than other types, even though I may be visiting the restroom frequently from my coffee. I need a way to break some of the cycling-around in my liver without having to send more and more "other" foods down my throat. That's how I've gotten so fat over time.

Perhaps I have put too much agave nectar into the pie as well! *slurp*
*hearing the 2nd half of a personal pumpkin pie SINGING to me from the depts of the kitchen freezer........*

Grrrr! I feel like I am a piece of crispy, crusty, bubbly pumpkin pie.....

GO AWAY, pie! I just cut you in two so that I would have LESS today!

Perhaps an intense, sweaty pilates routine is in order today for me! Sweat without stress! Ballerina body preparation! I am the only one here who thinks that at 197 pounds, I still have the body of a 97-pound sylph that can mince her way accross stage on satin toe-shoes! And I've NEVER been in ballet a day of my life before. Honest.

It's not working. *making mental note to self about seriously cutting things with stevia, next time.*

I'ts ridiculous. I cut the pie in half. Eat the first half. Wait. Got the 2nd half later. This is after I've had my "regular" lunch. In the span of a few brief minutes.....I feel like I should eat nothing but pumpkin pies for the rest of my life.....breakfast, lunch and dinner......I feel like I'm a member of the "Tribe" of pumpkin pies with all of them as blood relations! I need to wrap them all up in paper so as not to look at them once the freezer door is open. Because I'm not giving them away. They were hard work. Deliciously hard work. The nice vanilla flavoring in the pie actually permeated the crust and made it nice, too.

I wish I could understand what that would feel like to be a slow acetylator. I get rid of quickly what comes into my system, whether it be medicines, food, caffeine, viruses, bad vibes   . But having a hyper-active system has it's challenges as well.

I wish you some peace with all this...

I have to constantly focus on liver health as well.  I include per type liver cleansers in my diet, as well as utilizing a cleanse at times.

Don't forget your good fats like olive oil and ghee to go with your meal to help things 'stick'.     Are you drinking enough water?   Yes, I know you are drinking coffee, but they have dehydrating agents in them that can cause thirst which sometimes we think is hunger.     And...are you exercising?   To the point of sweating?  When you know you have just eaten and should not be hungry...go for a walk and have water (with a pinch of sea salt) when you come back.   Good luck.

Debra

P.S.  Oops sorry...Seraffa...thought you were an O for the exercise and the sweaty part.  You could still do that...just have to calm yourself with some meditation after to get your cortisol levels down.
