Check your list, I think grapefruit is good for us to have, but grapefruit juice is not.
I know juice raises the glucose, a serving is 4 oz for 15 gms. carbohydrate, if I remember, right. I don't drink it, but I eat the fruit, when I have it. Like one a day a half, at a snack with a few nuts a bit later.
I wonder, if you may think you have a cold coming and think you need Vitamin C and just chose grapefruit juice, in a big amount. They do have Vitamin C tablets, if that is the case. not sure if there complient, don't use them, either. |

grapefruit is also known to interfere with certain prescription drugs.....
you need to ask your pharmacist, depending on what you regularly take
and whenever you have juice, watch the frequency values given in your list
once you run your swami, you ll get the right amounts, for you specifically |

If you need vitamin C, rosehip tea is probably a safer bet.
If you're craving tons of grapefruits, try eating the whole fruit rather than drinking the juice. I'm recomending this for two reasons: the fiber content lowers the GI of the food, and it's easier to control your portions when you have to eat it a spoonful at a time rather than being able to gulp it down. I'm honestly not sure if there are any nutrients in the pulp that your body needs.
I have to wonder if you're craving it because of the sugar content. Even though it's a tart juice, it's still more sugary than anything else in your current diet, and you may find yourself craving it in an unhealthy way if you've recently (in the past few days) consumed too many starches or sugars. |

I've been enjoying a mix of grapefruit juice and seltzer/club soda. The soda lightens the juice up, cuts calories, and it's very satisfying to me, good on the stomach. (I like pineapple juice this way, too, and I also make a glass of "sangria" with pineapple juice, red wine, club soda). |

That "sangria" sounds good. Might have to float some fruit in there too! |

I crave grapefruit juice too. It's not uncommon for me to take two grapefruits, cut them in half, squeeze out all the juice and pulp, and gulp it down (it fills up one glass nearly to the top). I know better than to drink it from a carton, but I figure with the pulp--and raw--it's okay. |
