I don't think Coffeemate is acceptable for ANY livng being ! On the goat milk...does it really do "that"? I searched for any documents on it but found nothing substantial.
Haha, ever heard the expression 'randy old goat'? I reckon that might be what Lola was getting at .
Hey Goldie, well done on kicking the habit! I know how hard it is!
Yaeli, these caps sound interesting - what exactly are they? Maitake is a is a bene on my Swami.
Thanks all

well well that last one might be The BOMB. I never ate mushrooms.. but who knows .. it might work just fine.. life and testing is funny...
AFTER so many years of 'trying' and really giving up coffee I always went back to it.. decafe or regular-- I was weak and I had no choice.. I had really nothing else to drink.. old HABITS ...
But since at least the beginning of this thread I had NO desire to drink coffee.. gone is the need, the thought, the repeated looking to drink near any thing..
I DRINK one sort of lightly heaped spoon of cocoa mixed in hot water.......AND my ADDICTION is NO more..
I feel so comfortable all day that I don't need another cup.. I might have a second cup once a week in the afternoon.. I feel great.. and for those old goats eating coffee mate..... HA I DON"T even THINK OF IT..
so that means that I have BEATEN 2 HABITS.. THAT is BIG !!! soooooo big!!! and soooo comforting!
AND 'I' don't have a need for other chocolate at any time of the day anymore.... this is interesting and really for me a big thing all around!!

Hi Andy, You can say these belong to "another green world", meaning that only in the last few decades they have become popular in the Western civilzation. Medicinal Mushrooms are considered to have thrapeutic effects, as desribed in this table: http://www.cordycepsreishiextracts.com/images/medicinal_chart.jpg
They are grown and produced by some companies, especially as extracts, which are considered the most effective form. I used to buy from Hawlik, Germany and from JHC MushroomScience. Recently I've ordered from Dragon Herbs. http://www.dragonherbs.com/aboutus.asp
Here is a quote from Dragon Herbs' catalogue:
Quoted Text
Four Kings The four great “longevity mushrooms” combined into one extraordinary elixir. All four herbs are known for their powerful tonic and protective benefits. These are the four most powerful immune stimulating mushrooms in the world, and probably the most powerful immune stimulating herbs. These herbs are all superb tonic herbs which protect the body and help it to ward off invasion. Traditional functions – Fortifies the protective functions. Tonifies Jing, Qi and Shen. Who can use this formula – Anyone, especially those who wish to fortify their immune systems. Ingredients – Agaricus, Duanwood Reishi, Cordyceps, Maitake.
Right now I use Maitake (a Swami diamond for me) and Reishi. I also love Agaricus. Shitake is an avoid for O and a toxin in my Swami.

Yaeli /// not weird.. if it works it would seem to be healthy.. so long as the rums are compatible.. we learn as we go.. thanks for sharing..
I am mentally afraid of mushrooms my mom cooked them for her self and I never liked the smell.. and I would not know one from the other.. mom used to find little white ones round and when old 'puff' all gone powdery.. or yellow ones champingions, very delicate , or the brawn and white ones one can buy in the store dried up..
she loved them .. and apples and lived on that and whatever else after her surgey for cancer at 29.. together it must be a good thing .. she was B

When I mixed the mushrooms (Reishi, Maitake) powder with water, I realized I got a beverage that resembles coffee... : Aromatic, deep brown, and bitter. I add warm water and I have a new version of coffee..
It's not my imagination! A while ago I came with a cup of such 'beverage' near the young woman who is helping me at home, and she was a bit worried: "What is this, coffee?"... Apparently the fragrance is similar to coffee.
