This has just been on my mind lately as a curiosity sort of thing...I've been looking for an answer and haven't stumbled on it.
Being a Non Secreter, does that me we are less likely or can't transfer blood born viruses/infections via fluid transfer? And does it also make us more susceptible to contracting them? Without the so called "barrier" a Secreter might have?
Also, how accurate is the Secreter testing process? would it be wise to do a second on for quality insurance? The reason I ask...I got Non-Secreter, but I've always had non of the common problems a secreter would see, and I seem to be exceptionally resilient to illness...sometimes going 3-4 years without so much as a runny nose. And in the rare occasion that I do contract something...I recover at a fast pace.
Thanks. |

have you been eating healthy through the years, w/0 knowledge of BTD? Or almost? This may be your answer, if you were. |

No, I went through at least 2 years of college style eating, and way to much red bull. I payed for it for almost 6 months with massive adrenal fatigue....I still sleep 9 hours a night to maintain my energy levels. And I'm new to the Organic Scene...I just didn't know any better until 6 months ago. |

I came from that same place called "I never get sick so surely I must be a secretor". Well, being an "O" and specifically a "Hunter" I am by nature designed to be resilient. To answer the question of retesting I would say if you tested out as a non-secretor the only way a error could have occurred is if the lab mixed up your results (IMO highly unlikely). |

Roger that, I was just curious as I don't really fit the description of the general secreter, I'm in the process of getting my Lewis and MN blood groups tested, so that should shed some extra light. Thanks for the information. |

If you are getting your Lewis group tested. This will essentially be a second test of your secretor status.
If you are Lewis: a+b- this should confirm that you are a nonsecretor If you are Lewis: a-b+ this conflicts with the results given above, a third test should be done to confirm your secretor status
If you are Lewis: a-b- with the nonsecretor results stated above you should assume you are a nonsecretor. |

Savant - I am another nonnie who can relate to your resiliency and doubts. What causes me not to second-guess my secretor status is how well the regimen works for me. Why fix what ain't broke?
If you play with your secretor status in SWAMI you might find that nothing changes!
All the best to you. |

I'm assuming you meant a+b+.

I'm really more or less in different to whether or not I'm a secretor or not, I just want to get the diet right. I'll have my Lewis and MN blood group results in the next couple of days to confirm. |

welcome to the nonnie club!

that is extremely rare, generally seen as very weak secretors.... glad you got your confirmation |
