Howdy Family!
Been on various health regimens on and off for 15 years. Overcame chronic sinus infections 8 years ago by getting off cow's milk. Been able to avoid antibiotics since. Been on Fat Resistance diet most recently. Been taking probiotics for years, recently tweaked them to be specific to my type. Did BTD for 4 months - SWAMI GTD compliant for 7 weeks: went gluten-free for the first time. No cravings! Not hungry! I lost 10 pounds so far without exercise (I can only get to the gym once or twice a week, I try to bicycle in the evening when I can - it's not much, but I'm thankful for this eating plan that really works for me!)
Started Deflect 2 weeks ago. Doing great. If I follow my instincts, it feels like its time to broaden the diet a little more, dip into more neutrals - I'm wanting variety. Keep finding great recipes! Make my own jams? DUH! The money I could have saved! The sugar I could have avoided!
Anyhoo - the real reason for the post is - I'm not breaking out, I'm not having dips in my energy levels, I'm not going through any kind of detectable detox! I think I'm awfully symptom-free for a Nonnie. I present for Raynaud's (but no discoloration) and have puffy (stiff) hands in the mornings. (I type all day). But I don't expect those things to change, though. Or should I? I still have white lines in my fingerprints, but other than that... ? I suppose the only other visable symptoms of my 'type' (A+ Teacher) are that at my early age, my genes are starting to go on vacation - my skin is drooping and wrinkling more every week. All I can do about that is level up on my skin care regimen, and hope a plastic surgeon can tie up the loose ends one day - if things get that loose!
Thanks for listening. |

AKArtlover - that's another thing I've noticed... I'm assimilating water more easily. (Now I'm sounding like a Nonnie!) For ever I hardly drank anything at all... I still don't like to drink when I eat - (A+ Teacher instinct?), but once I began augmenting my diet, I tried drinking more water and I swear, I couldn't hold more than 8 ounces at a time - off to the loo in 15 minutes. Now I'm drinking a liter or more a day pretty comfortably. My fam thinks I'm loopy - but I drink distilled water that I remineralize with Xooma 'tea' bags... At least I know it's pure water! |

The white lines indicate that there is more healing to be done... It is possible that the skin will contract and the hand swelling may all get better... |

Lola - The link you posted for me to read actually had more good things to say about distilled water and distilled water systems. As I stated, I still believe in remineralizing it, but using distilled water is the only way I can be sure I'm getting pure water. Maybe one day we will look into that $100 distiller and save some money! |

why mess with success.. find the foods you like in beneficialsd and all will get better as time goes on you will look back and be happy you did.. Distilled water not good.. mix it up.. to much water is not good either it washes out good nutrients.. eat the fruit and drink (juice) vegetables .. |

My original post was dated end of May - today it is mid-August and I've lost 6 more pounds without much exercise. I love this eating plan.
My husband (whom I suspect is an O Warrior) and I are really benefitting from NAP's Calm Factors. And I've discovered the Unibars are yummy - that and the A-type protein powder (which blends amazingly well) should help me reach my target weight without pain! (As it should be). I started this program 20+ lbs. overweight. Then I started a full-time job and had to give up the gym (from 3x a week to 3x a month!) Hubby is so impressed with the changes he sees in me, and that my suggestions for O-types really work, that he is getting on-board and ordering some O supplements.
I wish there was a way to "earn points" or discounts to apply at the NAP store. We just can't afford to stay stocked on everything we need. |

Joyfulheart, it sounds to me like you're progressing beautifully! It can take time for your body to adjust to the changes you're making. 'Easy Does It' is the best thing you can do. Be gentle with yourself and enjoy the positive changes as they come your way. |

Not possible for hubby to be a Warrior with an O blood type , he has to be a Gatherer, Hunter or Explorer. Take a look at your book again. |
