I have been using Stivia for years without any adverse reaction.  Not cooking with it but using as a sweetener.

ditto to Denver...love it!

Stevia...was avoid on BTD...black dot on Swami. Won't touch it, actually, as the ones that are compliant make my skin itch and crawl.   Nonniness...

Stevia is an avoid for O nonnies but good for O secretors (I forget if it's a neutral or beneficial; I only remember that it's beneficial on my SWAMI.)

If you don't tolerate stevia well, then it's possible that you're a non-secretor, or that you're a secretor who just doesn't seem to tolerate stevia- either way, you need to avoid it.

However, before ditching stevia entirely, check that you're not reacting to an "inert" ingredient in your stevia. GI problems in particular can be caused by the kinds of fiber  often used as fillers. I buy the kind that's 100% pure stevia, and a serving size is 1/40th of a teaspoon (a teeny little sprinkle sweetens my whole cup of hot cocoa.) I don't buy the kind that's full of fillers and measures out like sugar.

Neutral for all Types except avoid for B/Secretors and O/Non-Secretors.

yes i saw in the ency that it was good for o's but bad for secreaters. i don't know my secreater status but i have a strong noni suspicion and i wanted to see if any others had tried this will ill effect that i could measure against. it is pure from the now brand. i got it to sweeten the big jugs of green mint tea i drink all summer. gusse i will give it to mom and the nabore.

yep meeeee .... can't have it... tried it once and then saw in minuscules letters written... a no-no for my bt.... so far ...ok I'm done with that... also here Dr. D is right....
