Well, the results are in for my secretor test and it came back negative. I'm assuming that means I'm a non-secretor. Would any of you more versed board members be able to direct me to any articles on being a non-secretor. If possible if there are any articles on being a Teacher nonnie, that would be great. Thanks |

can you explain? give us the exact wording from your secretor test results try the word non secretor in the search field and become amazed at all there is available |

I don't have the actual test in hand. The doctor's office called and that was the wording they gave. I'll give the exact wording when I get the test in the mail |

You are not in Australia by any chance? The first time I did the test, the lab produced a Secretory IgA test instead of the normal secretor test. Hope this is not another case of mistaken lab tests ...   Waiting for your report with curiosity ... |

Ok I just got the report in the mail. Here are the results. ABO GROUP AND BLOOD TYPE ABO GROUP A RH TYPE RH (D) POSITIVE RED BLOOD CELL ANTIGEN TYPING ANTIGEN: LEWIS B, A1 ANTIGEN TYPE: NEGATIVE FOR LEWIS B ANTIGEN TYPE: POSITIVE FOR A1 Cristina, I live in the US about 40 minutes from Dr. D's office. I have an appointment to go down there this month. This report is the prerequisite blood work for the visit. I'm pretty excited! |

if negative for lewis b it means you are a non secretor,
cause a would be possitive
Le(a-b+) always secretors
Le(a+b-) always a non-secretor

Welcome to the nonnie clubhouse. It is scary at first to learn you’re a non-secretor and all that goes with it. But remember knowledge is power. The more you know and understand about yourself, the better prepared you are to handle situations. You are indeed lucky to live so close to Dr. D’s office. I wish Drs D & M could trade office locations. I’m ½ hr away from Dr. Mercola.  |
