Thankyou Lola and Captain_Janeway for all information on how to do a secretor test. I have today called two private labs in Sweden, one of them I found a link for on http://www.genovadiagnostics.com/ but no one knows or can do the test even if I have described the ELISA method to them. So it seems like it is impossible to do a saliva secretor test in Sweden. No one at the big hospitals or blood donating centrals and labs can do it. |

Got to ask You again if this is the same as saliva secretor test (or if it can be used to determine secretor status), found this link: http://wiki.helpmvp.com/rob/bloodtypesecretortestDoes this mean that the test is an IGA Salivary test? Is this what I should ask for? I have talked to a person at immunology lab at Karolinska University Hospital who said they did "a IGA test on saliva" but she had never heard of secretor status or a test which detects the amount of ABH substances. |

those are allergy tests, like the alcat.....
have them do an Elisa test on you, and come back with the results.... Jane might be able to interpret those for you and determine secretor status.... right Jane? |

So it seems like it is impossible to do a saliva secretor test in Sweden. No one at the big hospitals or blood donating centrals and labs can do it. I talked to a person last week at Karolinska University Hospital virology lab who makes ELISA tests on virus types, and she just told me that they didn't do those test. I told them that it should be done with saliva and agglutination with ABO antigens. I have also talked with the blood donating/central lab at Karolinska but they do not do it, they only do Lewis blood type tests when an organ transplant is being performed. The person I talked to told me that they don't do it anywhere in the health care sector in Sweden. |

I have seen that there are labs in the U.S. and Australia that can do the saliva secretor test. If I order a secretor test from a website, http://www.dinblodtyp.se/shop/ "Approved for use with the Blood Type Diet", in Sweden that sells those tests they are sent to lab in the U.S. It will take about 4-6 days for the saliva sample to go with Swedish mail service to the U.S. lab. The sample is expensive and if the mail fails to deliver within a week how can I be sure that the saliva sample is ok for analysis? I was told that the saliva sample is durable for 7 days. Isn't there any lab cooperating with the labs in the U.S. closer to Scandinavia or in Europe that can do this tests for Blood Type Diet/GenoTypeDiet customers in Europe? |

Try this http://www.nature-cure.co.ukThis is a naturopathic clinic in the UK where Dr. Tom Greenfield ND, is on staff. Click on the laboratory page and you will find the info you need regarding ABH saliva secretor testing. You may have to contact Stacktheme directly re secretor test. |

If all else fails then call the lab there and ask where in Europe do you send saliva samples for ABH secretor testing for BTD/GTD. |
