This year? Or over the years? No flu for this nonnie. No flu shot either...ever. Debra |

I had H1N1 this past November before Thanksgiving, and it lasted the standard 3-5 days, but I kicked its proverbial butt compared to others' experiences here. Here being West Virginia University @ Morgantown, so you better believe I come down with stuff quickly being a nonnie in a college environment that can't fully follow ER4YT at the dining halls. But it's amazing, despite being a nonnie, I still kick flus and colds so much quicker than secretors NOT following the blood type diet or take vitamins. I can only imagine how much more miserable I'd be if I didn't at least attempt to eat right for my type and be taking vitamins. NB: I also never take vaccines, and this was my first year with a flu in a long time. |

New year and no flu. Haven't really heard of anyone having it in the past while around here. That's a good thing. Konaboy...do the best you can. Great to hear that you kicked butt. Yes, we nonnies do have 'some' benefits. Debra |

I had it, though not bad. Did get a mean sinus infection after, but the flu itself was very mild for me, and I wouldn't have known I had it if my kids didn't also have it. I usually never get the flu. |

Another nonnie here that hasn't had the "flu" in about 40 years. Last time was in the 60's and it was called the Hong Kong Flu... ~! I rarely get sick and if I do it would be a sore throat that comes and goes for a couple weeks, then disappears. However, as a true Explorer nonnie, I have arthritis, Lyme's, and autoimmune Thyroid disease. Different tiger stripe For anyone even contemplating getting a flu shot - DON'T!!!!!!!! WARNING - POISON!!!!That's the worst thing you can do to your body. Here's a partial list of the ingredients contained in a flu shot and it's really scary.....polysorbate 80, formaldehyde (known carcinogen), triton X100 (strong detergent), resin, gentamycin (antibiotic), and thimerosal (mercury compound used as a preservative) to name a few. Yikes!! Plus, Dr. Graeme Laver, inventor of the flu jab, has publically stated that he's disappointed in the effectiveness of the shot and that it's basically useless. Dr. Anthony Morris, a distinguished virologist and former Chief Vaccine Officer at the FDA states: "There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine thus far developed is effective in preventing or mitigating an attack of the influenza. The producers of these vaccines know they're worthless, but they go on selling them anyway." Gee - could flu shots be a profit-maker for the pharmaecutical companies at our expense and health?!! |

Not a nonnie here and no flu either but I just wanted to add a little to the flu discussion...
A dear friend of mine did have what she believed to be the Swine flu which turned into quite an extended illness. She ended up developing pulmonary edema and spent one week in an ICU on a ventilator and another week in the hospital trying to get her O2 levels normal. They extracted what she called "a blenderful" of fluid from her lungs. The only thing which stopped the edema was steroids. She was released from the hospital about 6 weeks ago and is still dependent on oxygen... her body is not uptaking oxygen as it should. There is no knowing if her lungs will ever return to normal functioning. Pulmonary edema is a known complication of the Swine flu. She was a healthy, vital, highly creative person before her illness.
Now, I am not an advocate of vaccines, especially max-vaccination campaigns. My children have never been vaccinated. But if the Swine flu vaccine can prevent this complication, then I am all for it. Once I saw how devastating the complications of this illness can be, I think the side effects/possible toxicity of this vaccine just might be worth it in a risk vs. benefit ratio. Fortunately, I was vaccinated for the Swine flu back in the 70's. Like everything, when it hits close to home, it can change your perspective. |

I haven't got it yet I have been exposed to it (at work) and I did not get a vaccination. I did get the flu two years ago around Christmas and around 12 years ago when I got a flu shot. It was the worst flu I ever got. It lasted for months. I might be allergic to eggs so I think that means I should not get the shot? Right? |

Right nowishow. Kristin...sorry to hear about your friend. Does she BTD? If it's her lungs...what about Redoxa from NAP. I am just guessing here. Debra |

I have not been sick once since following my BTD/GTD. I am 100% vaccine free and so is my son. Other siblings of mine that have chosen to get vaccines against my parents wishes (they let us think for ourselves after they teach us what they feel is correct) always get sick constantly. Although I'm a nonnie and also more overweight than the rest of them and the only A blood type in my family... the rest are AB's. Feel very blessed for the knowledge God has blessed me with so that I can be proactive in my health and take care of myself the very best way he inspires me to. Thanks for reposting that video Lola! lol Here's a couple more... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4SmFxyust0&feature=fvwhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQ_P1Sq0s9k&feature=related |

Funny video Lola.
I’ve never had a flu shot and I can’t recall how many years it has been since I was sick with the flu. My guess is that I have been exposed to it but the symptoms are either so mild or nonexistent that I don’t notice it |
