I recently had some oral surgery for a tooth loosened from my martial art training days. The oral surgeon later said that 'I had healed like a twenty-year old'.
Wow, that's really neat, Dr. D!
For me, I used to heal pretty fast but in recent years it has not been the case, especially when it comes to muscle and ligament strains and sprains. I have this foot injury from early 2009 and it has stayed until now, bothering me from time to time. I heard that foot injuries are hard to heal coz you put weight on your feet every day. Still, I have tried a lot of different methods and the pain just stays. I wonder what is missing in my internal healing mechanism
Internally I heal pretty quick. I made a pretty bad fall a few weeks back and thought I would be feeling the soreness for weeks but after three days it was almost all gone. However my skin heals very slowly. Cuts and scrapes are there for weeks.
I am very accident prone by nature. I tend to heal very quickly or maybe I am highly tolerant to pain. I have had 4 abdominal surgeries and only remember taking pain killers for a few days afterwards. The only time it took longer was my gallbladder which took me about two weeks of pain meds. My sisters and brother all seem to be the same way with their healing/pain tolerance. When I was really young if I got a cut it would be completely healed in three days and the scab would fall off after that time.

I think my skin heals particularly quickly. If I get a cut or scrape, it heals quickly and rarely leaves a trace. I used to bruise very easily but I have not noticed a bruise in ages. I was amazed when I started BTD how quickly some issues seemed to clear up for me. Seemed to. Fingers crossed.

I voted for "no" because I think my skin heals at an average pace compared to "most people." But then, I'm really not sure how fast or slow "most people" heal so I could be wrong.
Mostly I'm having fun reading all the threads in the Nonnie Clubhouse now that I've verified my nonnie-hood, bumping up a few of them (this one included) in the process.

I would say that different parts of me heal quickly, and others don't. My sinuses and throat never usually heal quickly, but my lungs did when I was treated for pneumonia. Then again, I was eating nothing but salmon, yogurt and noodles as a diet to heal after that. This was 2 years after blood type diet was written, and I knew nothing about the book. The Dr. said I healed quicker than any of his other pneumonia patients.
I overcame mental illness after a year of Zoloft and "getting away from toxic people, places and things......that worked! I was originally diagnosed as bipolar but never treated for underlying depression. Now people don't know what to think when they look at my history -- because it is assumed that if you are bipolar, you are bipolar for life! ( I think I was misdiagnosed, originally, by some idiot.)
I have successfully healed from Graves disesase after aggressively treating myself with vitamins and fresh air for 6 months........
Good thing about being on Genotype diet is I don't notice myself bruising easily anymore.....

I heal extremely fast; that's not just my own version of things, but it's been remarked upon by several doctors. Both tissue healing after an op and blood regeneration after treatment are very fast. I'm lucky to have a body that heals well. My husband is not a fast healer and I see the difference.
