Hello, I have found some information about correlation between Rhesus status and Secretor status (under the section Secretor status) on this site: http://www.weight-tips.co.za/utlhealth/bloodtype-&-diet.htmDoes anyone else know anything about this stated correlation, that some researchers have found a correlation between Rhesus status and Secretor status? |

Pretty Interesting, I'm going to paste it right here, so people can find it easy, and I'm going to check on forum to see if the people who have + are sec and people who have - are not.thanks
Secretor status
Antigens are present in the blood and, in most individuals, in bodily fluids such as saliva. If antigens are present in your bodily fluids, you are known as a ‘secretor’. If they are not present in your bodily fluids, you are a ‘non-secretor’. This fact is important for the diet, so it is important that you find out your secretor status.
Some researchers have found a correlation between Rhesus status and Secretor status. If you are unable to determine your Secretor status, a general rule of thumb is that Rhesus + usually denotes a secretor, and Rhesus – usually denotes a non-secretor. This research has not been sufficiently documented at this stage, so if possible and if available in your country, a test for secretor status should be done at the same time as the test for your blood type.
Secretors are shown as ‘1’ and non-secretors as ‘2’, for example, A1 (secretor) or A2 (non-secretor).
2 out of 19 agreed with that statement the rest was either not listed or if they were neg they were sec " " " pos they were non |

There is no correlation between ABH secretor status and Rh phenotype. About 75-80% of people are secretors. Rh + individuals can be secretors or non-secretors as can Rh- individuals. There is also more erroneous info in that article. There is no correlation between secretor status and A subgroup. |

My first saliva test showed secretor. My SeroType Panel came back as a nonnie. A second saliva test came back as a nonnie. I'd get the blood test to be sure. |

I fully agree with captain-janeway and Lola. Research is not as simple as we would like it to be. Remember, all the existing mainstreaming medical theories and practices are based on one or the other reasearch, but we know at least one hole that makes many of them bull... (they have not factored blood type and related genetic make up of individuals) and that makes them useless for us! In my own experience, some of the persons that I have tentatively identified as nonnies are all +ve blood groups. |

The article doesn't work for us either. All 4 known non-secretors in both families are Rh+, and the only Rh- is a secretor. Thanks for the clarification Cap'n! |
| Note to self: I am me, and also an O-nonnie - I'm allowed not to fit the mould. |
