Like blood types? I forget. I am in suspicion that my wife is a non secretor, and I'm curious if that means my son could be too. Or can it just happen to anyone?
I'll have to get the test for her, but I wanted to ask about this. I am a secretor though.

It's recessive, so even if your wife is a secretor, your son could be a non-secretor. It would be less likely than if one of you were a non-secretor, but still possible.
Type O+ blogger, secretor afterall. Gluten intolerant. With two gluten intolerant sons:  A+ Secretor 10 yo (also fructose intolerant and slightly egg allergic), and  O- 7yo.
So in other words, if it's in your lineage somewhere it can pop up anywhere. Either way, I need to get my wife tested.

You have to have 2 non-secretor genes to be a non-secretor. I am a non-secretor but my son is a secretor. I call him a weak secretor, but I’m not sure if that makes any difference. Anyway, since my son carries a non-secretor gene from me, then if his future wife carries a non-secretor gene then he could possibly have a non-secretor child even though he is a secretor.
