I had a visit to my MD and described all the symptoms I told my NPath and she says it sounds like I have an ulcer.  She weighed me in at 88 pounds.  I was 98-100 at the beginning of August.

Needless, to say I will not be returning to my NPath since she did not see the seriousness of my situation.

I will be scheduled in to see a gastroenterologist soon.  In the meantime I am on Pantaloc for the next 4 weeks.  I hope this heals me up because nothing else has the past 4 weeks.

There is a wonderful product by Enzymedica (enzymedica.com) called Acid Soothe.  It is a marshmallow root formula plus a few other things.  Very gentle and stops acid burn instantly without being an antiacid.  It was a lifesaver for me at times when I was under a lot of stress and had not healed yet from my years of IBS and gluten irritation.

Allopaths have a place in our care, too.  A good naturopath will not hesitate to refer for things better handled by an MD.

Yes, I meant ulcer.  

I am taking this drug to reduce the acid in my stomach to help promote healing of the tissue.  Being a non-secretor, I am very sensitive to anything new and my body is feeling very tired with this one so far.  It may be just the first few days of adjustment but I do feel drugged even though I am underweight.  I don't really have much of a choice though.


What is in Pantoloc? Each Pantoloc tablet contains pantoprazole sodium as the active ingredient. Other nonmedicinal ingredients are: anhydrous sodium carbonate, calcium stearate, crospovidone, ferric oxide, mannitol, methylhydroxypropyl cellulose, poly(ethylacrylate, methacrylic acid), polysorbate 80, polyvidone, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, and triethyl citrate.

I just received the Proberry Extract by NAP, Whey Protein Powder and now have the DGL.

LUANAFLACCO, I wouldn't give up on your Naturopath just yet.  He or she is only human.  How sad that you weren't able to put your finger on it sooner but it sounds like you might need his or her assistance with this now that you know what it is and the meds from the Dr are bothering you.  

If I were a B I would seriously consider the DGL Licorice.  I know it's supposed to work wonders for B's and O's with your type of troubles.  But I'm not a Dr so there may be more to consider.

My NPath was well aware of my rapid weight loss and went on a cruise leaving me without anyone to consult with. I don't know how anyone could do this in good conscience.

Each kind of doctor has their place in our wellness team.  Don't hesitate to try and find a new naturopath if you have divorced your former one.  I'm glad that we have allopaths at times when a diagnosis needs to be more fine tuned, and also for surgery and wielding of drugs.  But they don't know much about helping us to attain good health and stay well once the crises has passed.  I owe a lot to the good naturopaths in my life!

I think there's a temptation within all professions to become romantically and devotionally attached to the particular tools of the trade within that industry.  I think it's no difference in either allopathy or naturopathy... As the old saying goes, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

The key here is to not be so in love with your tool, that you impede the use of the right tool, no matter where it lies.  I would say that results are the bottom line, and that no one should place a "lock" on what methods or processes are the "right" ones, so long as they produce the desired outcomes.

This is, to my understanding, the entire spirit of the Blood Type Diet.
