My aunt who is Type B has this round sore on her leg, nearer to the ankle many years ago. It did not give her problem after she went on more veggie diet . Last two months the sore came back, oozing out water daily and seems to be getting worst . It all happened after she followed the BTD two months ago. She is taking some of the NAP products and followed the diet almost 90%.
One thing different she did is consumption of beef & muttton and this sore thing started again.
Can anyone advise if this is the cause ? even though they are suppose to be neutral and benefical food for her ? She is a nonnie. |

Is she SURE of her blood type? She might want to get re-tested to be sure. We have a member here who was typed wrong, followed THAT diet for a while and felt worse. He got re-tested and sure enough.......dif blood type. Just a suggestion. On the other hand, maybe her system just can't handle those foods even tho the values ( neutral and beneficial) are ok for her. Each individual handles foods etc differently. I would still encourage getting her blood re-typed. Especially given the fact that you say she did better on a mored veggie diet.

Just curious why the advice to follow the diabetes book when there was no mention of it? Enilac, you might want to try some Traumeel.........it's good stuff!! |

If she is a non-secretor, we can be slower to heal and more vulnerable to strange low grade bacterial infections. It could be worth getting the secretor status tested because a secretor diet contains many avoids for us nonnies. Powdered golden seal sprinkled on the sore may give some help. But I agree with Lola on the diabetic caution. If it isn't that, she needs to fortify her immune system. CLICK for immune protocol. CLICK for anti bacterial protocol. Did she ever try a simple antibiotic ointment on it? |

I only use Heallix when necessary. If my ears start bothering me, I swab them w/ straight Heallix. If my throat or sinuses start, I take a strong dose........ like 3 T in some water 3 times a day. Usually for just a day or 2. I don't use it long term. It does keep certain things at bay if you use it all the time (like cancerous skin spots), but when you stop using it, they return. So that is just a bandaid approach for that sort of thing. But for this other I mentioned, works like a charm. |

Okay, well, my mom had a very similar thing happen to her. It was an allergic reaction to NSAIDS - like Motrin or Tylenol. Does your aunt take an NSAID regularly? It's possible her body is detoxing, which might bring out an NSAID sensitivity. Might be worth checking into. Cheri in Texas |

Hi Victoria
Thanks for advise. What is antibiotic oilment ?
Neopsorin is a well-known brand, over the counter triple antibiotic ointment. None of us like to use antibiotics, but sometimes it is better to use on the skin before an infection becomes sytemic and an antibiotic has to be used internally. There are generic brands that may be a lot cheaper. One doctor told me that double antibiotic ointments are more gentle. Just ask a druggist. |

oh i see. Not sure but I will check it out. However the sore keeps oozing out water. According to her maybe due to the start of taking beef and mutton which she has stopped for years . |
