I've been trying to find Woad Root everywhere, but nobody's heard of it. Where can I get it from? |

I believe that woad root is also known as "ban lan gen". |

Dyer's Woad, Glastum {Isatis tinctoria - Brassicaceae} Ban Lan Gen , False Indigo, Indigowoad Root {I. indigotica - Brassicaceae} True Indigo {Indigofera sp. - Fabaceae, Subfamily: Faboideae, Tribe: Indigofereae}
The "Woad Root" you refer to is typically known as Dyer's Woad - You'll find it as a weed in many locales.
Note this is a cousin to the above mentioned TCM medicinal: Radix Isatidis.
Not sure about medicinal use, but its the same chemical for the Blue Dye in Woad that is also present in real Indigo - Just that Woad is much less concentrated. |

Well, I'm going to have to grow it myself because, apparently, no one makes it in a solo capsule form. |

I think I found woad root, which is the first item listed in the encyclopedia as an immune builder. In the technical reference manual, it's most specifically mentioned as a treatment for cancer.
Apparently it's the first ingredient in NAP's Rekon Pro. It's listed under "indigo root", as "baptisia tinctoralis".
In case anybody ever needs to know where it is, it's in Rekon Pro. |

I just emailed Dr. D, and suggested that he revise the listing for woad root so that, at the very least, it's also listed by its alias, "indigo root" or whatever, and that the listing also specifies that it can be found in Rekon Pro. |

Horseflyweed, Yellow False Indigo {Baptisia tinctoria - Fabacea} The plant you mention is not the True Indigo {Indigofera sp.}, but a cousin... There is some mention in the Science database for Baptisia sp. |
