Here's a list of foods that O secretors cannot have, but O nonsecretors can.
Avocado Catfish Coconut Oil Goose Egg Lentils (all types) MSG Mushrooms (domestic button type) Mustard Greens Nutmeg Pinto Bean Quail Egg Quail Salmon Roe Turtle
Most are neutral, avocado is beneficial.
Focus on the beneficials, but it's nice to contemplate a few new neutrals in the mix. |

Hey Shane Girl...welcome to the nonnie club. Yep...everyone slide over one. Hey Ron-O-Non...get the kleenex. And yes...apples were a big, big disappointment for me to lose too. There are so many crunchy, juicy, delicious kinds of them. Out of all of the food joys I used to eat...apples would be the one I wish I could have back. Yes...even over ice cream. Debra |

me too about the apples. MacIntosh was one of my "desert island" foods. Talk about pouting, know watcha mean!!! Anywho, I now allow myself an apple once in a great while, as opposed to buying them by the bag before. And cut way way down on most sweets...having a tough time with chocolate lately....we won't go into that.... Good chant, my Twisted nonny Sister |

I must be weird. I expect to be a nonnie, & probably will be disappointed if I find out I'm a secretor. There are certain secretor foods which bother me, but I had some catfish a few years ago after not having it for many years, & didn't feel good afterward. Who knows? Avocados make me feel good & are accessible more than strawberries. etc., etc......... MSG must be bad for everyone! I do feel great when eating a lot of meat & veggies. However I need more fat than recommended for nonnies. Maybe that's a nationality issue. Maybe the research will change those recommendations like others. Cheerio! Soon I may actually take the test!!!! |

Me too Shane, really miss my soy milk and apples. Still working on the sugar thing, but most days it is very easy to avoid it all together. I would give up all the avacados and MSG in the universe to keep my apples and soy milk !! Mrs. T. O+ Can't wait till you get your results too. As far as I can tell, the news always seems to be shocking. Have to do a colonoscopy on Wednesday, then back to doing the right thing again. I'm am however going to listen to my doctors advice with a great deal of reluctance to his suggestions. I will go to my encyclopedia after I get the diagnosis and follow Dr. D's reccomendations. |
