Thanks Victoria! I had to go back to taking Prevacid because of the NSAIDs I take for arthrits. Don't really like to take it--but my stomach actually felt like it was inflamed--hurt when I breathed, etc. I think Cherry Juice makes my stomach feel better, too. Still trying to decide about the oxygen issue--I can deal with my power chair--it helps me live my life. I compensate for my weight by designing my own (very beautiful if I do say so myself!) dresses and having them custom made, keeping my hair, nails, make-up etc. done and always trying to wear a smile. I guess for me, the O2 cannula in my nose makes me look sick, odd, etc. I try to really work hard at keeping an upbeat attitude, and its especially important in ministry--if my life's not workin' for me I don't have much to share with others. I guess from that perspective--the O2 issue moves me from capable to sick, and by default, incapable. The other side of this issue is my muscle pains, in my legs & back particularly, if I don't stay oxygenated. I've pretty much decided to try it without O2 this week-end if I can, and stay on it constantly when I'm away from school, in the hotel, etc. Also, to conserve my strength, I'm going to make myself Not go shopping--so very hard for a Dallas girl. Boy, this getting healthy thing sure is a process!! Edna, I also want to thank you for your very kind words--I think you are really special, too! |
