Well, it's been at least a week since no morning brown rice sourdough bread and I am doing great! Feel good and don't get the head rushes anymore or the foggy feeling! Thank you who gave me the heads up to get back on track again with that! I think I've lost several pounds almost overnight when I gave that up! Working out daily and really toning up, feeling energetic! And, taking the maca powder! I think it is totally helping me with moodiness and hormonal outbursts! MY mood seems to be elevated and I have more energy. My husband has been taking it, and he said, "I think the Maca is making me, you know, like more testoserone filled! Rhymes with 'corny'!! I said, "Oh, brother!" We better stop this stuff! Ha! |

Good news all 'round, then, eh Tina? You're happy and so is your man! That's great about the diet change. A lot of O's on this Forum do great on a grain-free program. |

Tina - where the heck do you get this meca powder? My hubby could really use a testosterone boost sometimes. Sorry if I missed the discussion on maca powder, but what is the benefit of taking that? |

Thank you - I'm going to have to check into this for both of us I think.
How long will a jar of it last for you? And do you just mix it into whatever you're fixing or how do you take it? |

I have just been taking the maca powder in water or mixed in my salad dressing (ollive oil, raw apple cider vinegar I know an avoid, but I really like it, and spices). I like the taste of it actually. The jar says 1 tsp a day, so it should last a while, maybe a month or two.
And I can tell you, it does seem to rev things up a bit for my hubby and me as well! I am not as unthrilled about his advances as I used to be at times!! Although, I love him dearly, you know, as women, we're just crockpots as my hubby says. We take time to warm up, and he is such a microwave! We laugh about that! |

MoDon....... so you do use maca? I was thinking of trying it but didn't know if I should w/ the adrenal thing and all. If it gives me energy, great, but don't want to be zinging around like I'm high on something. Nor do I want the feeling like I might be hopped up on caffeine. Wouldnt be good for how I feel and worst of all, I'd be afraid of how it would affect my adrenal repair. What'd'ya think? |

No, I am not taking maca or any other supplements, except for an occasional glandular that my doctor prescribes. My treatment approach for adrenal fatigue is based on dealing with my mercury toxicity from my previous dental fillings using ultra high potency (500-900M) homeopathic organ support remedies. |

If only I could get my wife to read this post .....
If only I could get my wife to taked the Diet seriously .....
I have to cook almost all of my own food to avoid macaroni and cheese served with "How is your diet going?"
If I could only slip some in her full-of-junk-brand Italian Dressing?!
Whooo Hooo! This might just be a really good new year after all. |

.......prob not advisable w/o knowing how much You could add some good oils to her dressing tho. That would show her love (without her knowing of course). I put good stuff in my DH's salad dressing and food all the time, without him knowing. Doesn't know the dif, but his body does. |

Here's what I use. I love the stuff. I don't take it at night, though, b/c I get lots of energy from it: http://www.sunfood.com/cgi-bin.....ein_Products&tc=I use a scoop in my morning smoothie & 2 scoops before a yoga session and it makes a big difference in my workout! As far as I can tell, all the ingredients are okay for Type Os. If anyone knows any differently, please let me know! |

Welcome Stephanie!! So sorry to say, the very first ingred is an avoid. As the very first ingred, that means that is what the biggest part of this protein powder is made of. You might want to find something else if you're trying to be really compliant. Have you checked out the "Whole Egg Powder" thread? Lemme see if I can find it for you.... http://www.dadamo.com/cgi-bin/.....20Egg%20Powder#num14There ya go! Hope there is something useful for you in that thread. |

Are not some of the other ingredients "unknowns?" |
