I love nut butter by the spoon; sometimes on celery or (rarely) toasted spelt bread --- a handful of nuts -- recently I warmed uo some cooked sweet potato and a baked onion and it was wonderful. I would have to call it desert bc it was so sweet. -- Salmon -yummmmmm -- roasted veg -- hot chocolate soy milk
My morning smoothie made with tofu, some fresh fruit, a bit of ginger, some lemon juice and maple syrup: so refreshing and satisfying!
Spinach salad with toasted pumpkin seeds in a olive oil and lemon dressing.
Salmon: baked or pan fried, with some green veggies - I adore it!
Pancakes made with buckwheat flour, ground almonds, an egg, grated apples, walnut bits, some grated ginger, cinnamon, soy milk and a bit of maple syrup. I love eating them with some peanut butter: a real treat.
A thick slice of fresh, juicy pineapple, figs, especially fresh ones, blueberries, grapefruit...
Smoothies. I found this place in the mall that makes nondairy smoothies with fresh strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries but the mix they add in with it makes it creamy and good. Like a milkshake. I am so happy walking around the mall drinking my smoothie that is healthy and good. It makes me feel good.
Also lately I have been drinking water and once my bottle gets down to about 4-6 oz I add my Emergen-C powder. My vit C and B's really give me that afternoon lift. I also feel these vitamins are good for my intestines, skin, hair, and energy level.
I adore smoothies too, BuzyBee. Hopefully the ingredients in the mix are ok for you. Whenever we buy food made by someone else, we can't take anything for granted.
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. ~Mary Jean Irion
Not sure of the ingredients other than vitamin pack and nondairy. It is kinda a special treat. They also do the veggie smoothies too so hopefully they are a "healthy conscious" company. They are not a franchise. I am just so happy to find nondairy that is creamy and taste good. This is a mall that is out of my way so I do not go there often.
Raw carrots, fresh spinach salad, tofu, fresh ginger root and garlic, escarole, pineapple, one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil over my lunch and dinner meals, my breakfast porridge, nutritional yeast, tempeh....
