What are good breakfast ideas for an O nonnie? This is by far the hardest meal of the day for me! We seem allergic to eggs, so that is out! We have been eating sardines or turkey sausage, but what other things are good?
Someone posted that they eat nuts with fruit in the a.m. This was an O secretor. Would that be a good choice for us?

eat left overs from dinner or lunch, meaning protein and veggies topped with an egg perhaps?

Tina-no need to stress out about breakfast. It surely doesn't help. Been there, done that. Just whatever you eat at any other meal. I usually cook lots the night before for supper. Especially meat protein so that I can just add something to it the next morning. Things like beef roast, lamb, chicken, liver, steak, hamburgers, meatballs (beef, chicken, turkey, lamb and that goes for the burgers too), turkey, etc. I try to make an extra large salad (with olive oil, lemon, nutritional yeast, ground flax) so that there will be some left over the next day. Any beneficial veggies (sometimes neutral with the bennie) such as spinach, kale, swiss chard, etc.(with the above olive oil mixture). One of my favorites (since Greece) is mashed banana with 2 boiled or poached eggs (mashed in with the banana) topped with olive oil, Harmonia, nutritional yeast and ground flax. Add a few walnuts or almonds...mmm...mmm Yummalicious. I see you have an intolerance to eggs, but just omit those and have the nuts with the rest. I, also, like to have sliced pear with this concoction. Not mashed in with it though.
Once you get your brain wrapped around the fact that you are a nonnie...all is well.
Good luck.

My favorite breakfast is any kind of compliant soup, just so warming and energizing.

Tina-Harmonia is a powder that you can buy through NAP which Dr. D designed. As it says on the bottle "Energy in a glass". If you go to the NAP site (at the top of the page) it will tell you the ingredients.

Thank you Victoria for the sounds strangely good comment and the fantastic statement comment. So...be the nonnie you are...as no one else can do it for you.
And as Edna says "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave." So...why fight it.

Debra, When I discovered I was a nonnie, at first I was disappointed, alarmed, and a bit resentful.
Once I came to peace with who and what I am, a peacefulness appeared, and I find it so easy to eat what my own personal body needs to stay healthy.
It's just like showing love to dear ones, and trying to increase the wonderful quality of their lives. I don't resent my body anymore, in a lot of ways.

I'm not a nonnie, but might as well be! Anyway, I love leftover pot roast, turkey sausage, chicken, stew, and garlic greens with poached eggs or meat on top, with lots of grilled onions. Melissa's idea for soups is great too-delicious!
