If you look to the right of the (n=1) blog you will find several links under the title 'D'Adamo Network'. These will take you to a variety of blogs that I will be writing for in the coming weeks and months. They include: 1. (n=1) which will focus on personal genomics http://n-equals-one.com/blogs/2. Blood Lines which will focus on blood type science and nutrition http://drpeterjdadamo.com/BAS/3. The Two Cultures which will focus on the schism between the humanities and sciences http://drpeterjdadamo.com/AEI/4. The SWAMI Blog which will focus on SWAMI techniques and tricks http://northamericanpharmacal.com/SWA/5. Grandly But Moderately which is a blog about Brooklyn New York http://drpeterjdadamo.com/GBM/I've created these multiple blogs because a single blog does not allow me to delve into the diverse number of topics that I wish to write about. Who knows, I might create a few more before I'm done. Hope you enjoy them. |

Whaddya mean "before I'm done"? Haven't you been done wonderfully yet? Is there more to see of you? Can't wait to see more! Seriously, I think you are so productive because you sleep more than most people |

Humm? I've tried to convince my husband for years that I need more sleep. He's of the opinion that you can sleep when you're dead. This is the guy who will go to bed at 9:00pm and be up again at 3:00 - 4:00 am. He's a writer and has to do so when the inspiration hits... which is usually very AM. Funny though, he's the one who always complains about the dark circles under his eyes. How much sleep should a person get anyhow? Is it different for everyone or is there a certain amount that we all have? |

7 to 8 hours is average and considered adequate......some need more, others can get away with it with less, others can t sleep due to many diverse factors, one being high glucose levels, or a congested liver.......individuality yet again 'Lights Out' by T.S. Wiley. great book!! http://www.amazon.com/Lights-Out-Sleep-Sugar-Survival/dp/0671038680. |

Wow! I just write about WHATEVER in my one blog, but "they" say that you should really pick one theme/atmosphere/way to go for a blog and stick with that. I can kind of see what they mean, as mine, for example, has become mostly very deep and spiritual, dare I say, yet sometimes I would just like to wax HILARIOUS and irreverant...and even SUPERFICIAL and silly, yet it might seem somehow jarring to go from profound to silly. It's like, readers' heads could be left spinning with cognitive dissonance, thinking, wuh, is she a cyber self-styled UU minister of sorts, an empassioned left-wing political activist, or just someone who writes hilarious blogs about, say, reality TV (haven't done that yet but one never knows) and/or other entertaining minutia? Or is she a blogger of all things diet and nutrition related...or, wait, here's one on dogs...WHAT IS HER BLOG ABOUT? I like to change it up, which is good. Yet "they" do have some wisdom in the "pick one theme" advice, as a blog should have a reliable "feel" to it, which I feel mine is developing and which I like, yet, as I said, it is turning into sort of a SERIOUS, deep sorta thing, which again, I like, BUT every now and again I'd like to launch into a Seinfeld-esque hilarious musing about some sort of seeming minutia, ya know? And that could result in a rip in the fabric of the feel of my blog. Still, I'm going to live dangerously and just have the one blog. At least until I have decent computer access from home, the elusive holy grail for me that I never get around to for one reason and/or another. You with your multiple blogs--wow! I think I'm going to especially enjoy the one exploring the cultural diffs twixt the humanities and hard SCIENCES, and of course the one on Brooklyn! |

3. The Two Cultures which will focus on the schism between the humanities and sciences http://drpeterjdadamo.com/AEI/5. Grandly But Moderately which is a blog about Brooklyn New York http://drpeterjdadamo.com/GBM/
Former: Liked that book? Latter: What's the attraction of Brooklyn, particularly? My family has major history there, too. Me, never lived there. Any reason for the Brooklyn - as opposed to a Connecticut or Manhattan or general Long Island - personal obsession? |
