OK, so I am avoiding wheat & diary.
As an O, what else worked for you, in terms of lifestyle and supplements etc, and how long did it take to notice the difference?
I got some Bladderwrack capsules and tumeric but can't say I notice the difference in 50 days of taking them....
What worked for you?
(ps: I am trying to work out 35 mins , 3 times a week aerobically) |

I'm using the type O pack of 4 supplements. Phytocal, polyflora, polyvite, and deflect. Plus catechol. I haven't been able to exercise lately but I want to get back to yoga and walking and build slowly. I know it will help. Eating right is good too of course. I have to avoid wheat and dairy as much as possible. |

Eating plenty of (grass fed) beef helped significantly, but I was eating almost none before the diet. I went from no energy to high energy (my natural state returned).

If you are like me and don't have a whole foods nearby (mine is 60 miles or so away) you can see if you have any local farmers nearby that will sell to you. Or you can order online although I haven't done it. Here's the site I used to find my local farmer: http://www.localharvest.org/ |

In bed by 10pm and up after 8am, whenever I can. (Aka, the adrenal fatigue sleep protocol.)
30 min. brisk walking daily.
Light, frequent low-carb meals. |
| My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer. |

I just got my blood test back showing levels of everything! Very interesting. Everything was in the normal range except a couple things the doctor wanted me to take care of myself more on - based on the numbers. Bansaw, well being low on energy I definitely know about that. Bladderwrack definitely makes me feel good. He suggested I keep taking it. And he asked my blood type. So he is in the know I found out that I most likely have adrenal fatigue (my sodium levels were low and my phosphorous a bit high), I have poor protein assimilation and a bit of a low thyroid. These things he said contribute to my lack of energy and the lack of "gusto to do things". Although eating once per day has really helped on energy it hasn't cured me.. yet. So the naturopath doctor suggested I need to add easily digestible protein (along with animal protein). He suggested Sun Warrior (bio fermented brown rice) & a green powder - so I bought Harmonia Deluxe, & carob extract. I took a scoop of Sun Warrior with some apple juice and I feel really good. I also bought some adrenal support caps and took those too. Well, I can say I'm not tired like I was 30 mins ago. So that's a start! I'll have some tuna steak & a salad later. |

I forgot to mention that it helps when I drink lots of cool water. I aim for 48 oz per day, in addition to other liquids. |

The xanthan gum in the Sun Warrior does not affect you? Too bad they don't use ground flax to made the texture smooth. |

There is no xanthan gum in the plain one. That's the one I got. There's only 1 ingredient: Brown rice The texture is fine for me. |

Tried to go super low carb for a while...didn't work, was tired all the time. I was eating sweet potatoes, but they make me a feel a little heavy. Started making absolutely sure to eat AT LEAST 6 cups of green leaf vegetables every day, some days eating up to I'd say about 10 cups. I feel so good when I make sure to do this, tons of energy and my stomach feels light and clean and lays flat too, not the case with other carbs like sweet potatoes or "good grains."
Also, I try to eat the green leaf vegetables at the same time as I'm eating meat. Can't tell if I'm just imagining it but I seem to feel especially good when doing this, and my stomach feels amazing. I have this visual of a lot of stomach acid being released to digest the meat, and at the same time completely dissolving the green leaves and making the nutrients extra available to my body. Could this be all in my head? Yes! But it seems plausible. |

Are your greens raw or cooked... It is possible that either the extra acid from eating the meat, or the enzymes from raw greens, or just a combination of the nutrients in both foods work well in the digestive tract together to enhance digestion of the lot... |

Bansaw, in answer to your question on grass-fed beef, another place in Charlotte is Earth Fare. There's one at Southpark, one at Ballantyne, and one in Huntersville at exit 23. I prefer these to the ordering, because I can go anytime and see what I'm buying. The prices are comparable. Good luck! PS-I'm always tired too. Hoping to improve that here... |

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me on low carb, my energy plummeted and I was hungry all the time. Sweet potatoes- same thing. Amaranth helps me though. |
