Follow the guidelines for your type A and you'll be great.
It doesn't mean that a little running will kill you, it means that if you run to excess, the stress may cause weight gain or other unhealthful reactions... |

Enjoy your running! In my SWAMI Dr. D. definitely recommends running if I want more demanding exercise. As you can see I am an A-Type! And I'm no "spring" chicken either! |

Ciao Stefania!
Can you take Yoga classes in Italy? As Lola said, be sure to partcipate in activities that will help regulate your cortisol levels. If you feel tired or drained a few hours after your run is finished, it's too much for you. You should feel energized if you are not over-training.
I have a neighbor who is type A and she is out jogging and running almost every day! It seems to work for her but know your limits and always strive to stay in balance.

Also check out the book Chi Running, if you haven't already, it teaches a method of running that is far more effortless and reduces injuries due to correct posture. It is how young children run naturally and how some of the great natural runners in the world run. |

That is very true. The soft exercises can develop posture and better feeling of what is correct, then hard exercise gives a lot more benefits i think. |

i just met a type A that runs that said that epsom salt baths after her run helps her recovery and rids her of lactic acid. she rotates running with yoga and doesn't overdo it. she said she could do two races in a row if she wanted to using that method. i thought it was interesting, but i am no runner. |
