Will, I did it. Finally did the secretor test.. I'm a nonnie.. Just had a gut feeling I was. I've read the LR4YT and do not completely understand the Tier One and Tier Two. Do I only eat Tier Two being a nonnie? Or can I do the Tier One bennys, also. Sorry I'm not getting it, still in a daze from the nonnie business. Thank you for any help. |

Greetings to another Nonnie!
Tier One is the best beneficials and the worst avoids.
Just follow all the tiers as a food list, especially staying away from the avoids in Tier One and especially incorporating beneficials from Tier One. |

Tiers are irrelevant to non secretors.
You should completely ignore tiers and just go by ratings: Beneficial, Neutral, Avoid. |

Great! now can anyone tell me how to find out my A1, A2 information? Also just received my blood work results. My b 12 is 310, is that low? My iron saturation is 18, is that low? I've tried to find a doctor from the list and no luck. Live near Houston, can anyone help with this? |

Quest Diagnostics can run the lab tests with an order from your physician
serotyping panel is the name for finding out your A subtype as well as your MN system
Lewis antigen is also a part of that panel, so it wouldn t hurt to double check your nonnie status if interested
note this is a blood test |

You just follow Tier one (anything listed in tier 2 is considered neutral) if you're not being very strict. Avoiding the tier 2 avoids is another level of compliance. Following the non-secretor plan is even a higher level of compliance; don't think of the tier one beneficials being any better for you than tier two beneficials, or tier two avoids being any "less bad" than the tier one avoids. The foods are put into tiers based on their values for secretors, not nonnies.
Even simpler, you can look at the foods in the typebase online. |

C Sharp I'm sorry I thought I read Tier Two was for non secretors.
Some people choose to call all nonsecretor avoids tier 2 avoids and all nonsecretor beneficials tier 2 beneficials. This is because we have no guidance to say which avoids and which beneficials are important enough to be in the tier 1 category for nonsecretors. If you want to call a nonsecretor avoid a tier 2 avoid and a nonsecretor beneficial a tier 2 beneficial that is fine. But if everything is in tier 2 (and there are no tier 1s for nonsecretors) for nonsecretors, there is no point to have tiers at all. Other say there is a nonsecretor tier (that handles tier 1 and tier 2, but again it is a single tier). |
