I've started to really love nuts this summer but just read that they are pretty high in polyunsaturated fats and should be minimized for weight loss.  Thoughts? I'm a Hunter and almonds are a super food for me.

On the other hand I also eat a lot of fish and have eliminated grains which are also a source of Omega-6 oils I think.

I LOVE almonds & almond butter.  Since you've cut out your grains, I think an occasional serving of nuts will be fine, as long as you're not eating bagfulls each day.  I'm so glad they're a super food for us Hunters.  Also, we don't have to worry about the fats quite as much.

I don't care for any one-size-fits-all diet information...  I like nuts - almonds, cashews, peanuts, pecans, walnuts...  All are Diamonds, Superfoods or Neutrals (cashews)...  SWAMI says 1/2 cup, 5 times/week and I probably get that since pinto beans and peas are included in this.  Of course, I've never had to worry about adding a pound or two...
