This morning when I woke up I sensed some pain near the heart area. Admittedly I didn't have much sleep, only 4.5 hours. I tried going back to sleep for an hour or two but afterwards still feel a bit dizzy and lousy in the head.
I wonder if anyone has felt that kind of pain in the heart due to lack of sleep? Actually could it be the liver?

Thanks Possum. I do include Magnesium in my diet and also spray the oil on my body after shower. Needless to say, I have to have my daily dark chocolate However, I am wondering that it might have been my liver, coz I also have been having some headaches lately. Haven't had that for a long time! Can someone please post the monthly liver detox protocol in the Genotype book? I have lent it to a friend so don't have access to it right now. I'm thinking of doing it tonight... |

Thanks Lola. I'm just wondering, besides apple juice, what other alternatives do I have, since apple is an avoid for me?

Malic acid is to be used in place of the apple juice |

USE the applejuice .. make your own from organic apples. or eat kids food. Apples release a lot of stuff from the intestines if you have not eaten any for yeas.. the body knows.. I did it recently and it worked to well..
But I am more concerned that you ought to take one aspirin, just in case some other thing is brewing.. Heart conditions in women are all to often overlooked.. the headache is not good either 1 Aspirin will not hurt..
Hours later ....What is your pulse rate? exactly what kind of pain? there might be a reason why you did not sleep? please be careful.. all the best.. |

Goldie, thanks for the reply. I just made some apple and pineapple juice... as an experiment. I don't know... it irritated my throat (it must have been the "avoid" apple coz pineapples don't irritate me). The juice did create an apetite in me though. I haven't been feeling hungry most of the day. Now I'm going to eat some veggies and skip meat for the day... hopefully this will last me for the night so I can drink the olive oil/lemon juice tomorrow morning.
I haven't kept track of my pulse rate... The headache is mostly gone now. It seems that by eating less today my body is going back to some sort of balance. I don't have any aspirin at home... no more OTD here. I am still a bit confused about the location of the pain, as by instinct it felt like the heart but the liver is so close so it could be either.... The pain was transient, but it was a sign anyhow. I need to monitor it more closely. |

The heart isn't any where near the liver. The heart is located in the thoracic cavity directly under the sternum and angles off to the left, the apex of the heart is right about where your left nipple is. The liver is located in the upper right quadrant of the abdominal cavity underneath the diaphragm. |

jayneeo, Anxiety... hmmm, there was a bit of anxiety over a small matter: I did try not to oversleep because I had to rush to some place where I actually dreaded going for some reason. The quality of my sleep is often affected due to the late night work schedule I'm on, though, as I seldom have anxiety feeling. I hope you get better quality sleep as well! |

Really? Hmmm, I was looking at the diagram below: http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=191I was surprised as I thought the liver was on the right but there is actually a left lobe, probably right under the heart? That's what got me confused. |

Grey rabbit, thanks so much for those diagrams. Yours are much clearer than the one I have seen. Now I can tell that it was the heart, not the liver that was in pain yesterday |

One of the links mentioned something interesting. Gallbladder pain can be felt in the shoulderblade area. Yes, very difficult to diagnose without some help, really hoping you do not have heart problems! |

New development: today I start to feel a very distinct pain right at the cusp of the left armpit and breast area. It feels like I have pulled a muscle. The thing is if I had done anything to have pulled it, I usually would've known. But this pain is mysterious. I think that's what I took for heart pain the other day when I woke up. I was too sleepy to really distinguish where the pain came from. I googled the symptoms and came across a discussion where many women in their 20's and 30's have the same experience, and the "diagnosis" by doctors have very often been anxiety. I asked myself: really? What kind of anxiety is so great that it would cause this kind of pain? I've never had it before. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/W.....-shoulder/show/26094Has anyone experienced the same? |

You may need some progesterone cream, if you don't already use it. Many times when headaches start before waking at this age, it is because of hormone imbalance. Hormone imbalance also causes many other symptoms, strange aches and/or pains. |

It could very well be. I do use progesterone cream. Been using that for more than a year now and have seen gradual improvements. But this pain near the armpit is really strange. I wonder if it has to do with the nymph node there. When I rubbed/massaged it, I got a bit dizzy in the head. |

, I think you mean Lymph node. But I can just picture you, a tiny nymph of a ballerina. |

a pain under the right side of the shoulder is gallbladder.. shorthness of air is another way to tell..
since you had it so many days I might not worry any more but if it gets worse then I would see a doctor.. could be indigestion.. that is confusing..
the way to get rid of indigestion is to have a bottle of maylax at the bedside and take some and see if it goes away.. if yes then you know what it is.. if not see a doctor.. even ids you never take his advise nor his pills.. but knowing helps..
what is your pulse when it happens? are you fearful? that is a sign of heart issues.. |

Hi Goldie, No, my pain was on the left side and quite high up, very near the armpit. And there was no shortness of air. I'm glad it doesn't hurt today... maybe just a dull sort of soreness but not as pronounced as yesterday. I'll see if it goes away totally soon. Thanks for everyone's concern and suggestions. |
