I did the measurements, answered the questions and did everything EXCEPT the fingerprints.  However, according to the charts, if my lower leg is longer than my upper leg, my ring fingers are longer than my index fingers on both hands, and I'm a type O, than I am automatically a Hunter.

However, when I did the strength meter (now I did it without my fingerprints), I only get a +3 which is the lowest of all the numbers of every other section!

Should I just continue to do BDT since I don't trust my results or should I switch to Hunter type diet plan?

I should add that according to the test online, it says that the GenoType is a better diet for me to do than BDT.

Once you use the advanced tables the strength tests make no difference and are irrelevant to determining your GenoType.

if you ever get a swami, the program computes your GT in no time, considering all the variables

It looks like you are a Hunter to me, but you did not answer whether your torso is longer than your legs, but in this case it does not seem to matter.   Neither that measurement or your secretor status seem to matter and it looks like you are a Hunter.

Why do you think you are not a Hunter?

cjjmom, I wasn't sure I was a hunter either, because of my height (5'2), but I had the same measurements as you, ring finger much longer than index fingers. It will help you though if you take a look at your fingerprints. Mine are all exactly symmetrical to the other hand (so are my husband's and my oldest daughter, both also hunters). My youngest I could had sworn she was a hunter (super long and skinny and perfectly symmetrical, an O- like me) but all of her fingerprints are different. It actually worked better for me to do the fingerprints with a flashlight then with the fingerprint paper I got in the genotype kit.

oh, and actually with he strength meter, hunter was my lowest score (my highest was teacher!). Another thing that really helped me was tasting the test strip...I didn't think I would be a super taster, but I was. I can still taste it in my mouth when I think about it! YUCK!

I didn't get the kit, just the book.  How do you do it with a flashlight?  I didn't see that in the book!

When I read the GTD book, I thought for sure I was a hunter.  But the measurements said gatherer (longer torso, longer thigh, etc.) so I went on my merry way buying and eating all sorts of yummy gatherer foods (cheese galore  ).  Then a few weeks into it, whoa, major indigestion, weight gain and overall not feeling right.  That's when I went online and purchased Swami.  It said I'm a hunter just like I thought I was.  And I played around with the questions I wasn't too sure about to see if I could change it.  Nope, I'm a hunter and have never looked back.

cjjmom, you might want to invest in Swami and your secretor status.  I was glad I did because I just knew I was a hunter and not a gatherer.

The online test says I should be on BTD but O food list and hunter food list are so close, I follow the hunter.  And I don't have any health issues right now..... except for perimenopause/menopause....    Oh, and red wine is a neutral for me on the hunter list, and I like that

That's something I learned here...the flashlight thing. Just look closely at your fingerprint with a flashlight and you'll see it very clearly. Write down what it is for each finger and then compare.

I got my SWAMI from Dr. Nash and red wine is in my geno harmonic foods with just about everything!  I am one happy camper here, since I am suposed to drink red wine for heart health - and it makes me happy and relaxed.

Some of my personal favorites are chocolate and red wine, cod and red wine, flounder and red wine, pecans and red wine, salmone roe and red wine.  In fact, red wine is geno harmonic with every single food listed in the left column except for sesame oil!    What a diet!!!

For fingerprinting, I looked through a magnifying glass one finger at a time and had good results that way....

If you're not sure, then IMO you should keep on following the BTD, since you know for certain that you're an O.
