Jaynee,
Really hoping you get that full, unbroken sleep you deserve!
Maybe some rocking out to some great tunes during the day?! Seriously, it helps me.....of course its just me and my dogs in my little garage gym ....it really is a stress reliever!

congrats .. but maybe all you did was exchange it for later.. but I do think it's much easier to get of th other stimulants, they are less connected with the ceremony..

it took me until I drank cocoa powder in hot water to finally be able to say I have no memory of (neeeeding) coffee.. it works for me.. and I am not missing it at all.. mostly in the morning..

congrats you know that what you did  is a big thing..

rather than hijack the thread about anxiety meds, I opened this one to explore anxiety and coffee.
I shouldn't really be drinking coffee...and I tend to go off and on it in a cycle....but I have been having so much anxiety lately...its an awful feeling....and I have been on a long roll of coffee in the morning....due for a quit, I know, but here's the thing:
sleep cycle gets messed up, I sleep poorly, then need the stuff just to bring the brain into the present....anyway....it just occurred to me ....duh, I'm drinking too much coffee. (which to me, is about one cup a day, maybe one and a half)
I'm going to take rhodiola now.......

Was never much of a coffee drinker. But when I did try it after starting LR, I had a lot worse reaction to it than before. I leave it alone. Coffee enimas on the other hand..... Used to do those now and again when I was trying to break the parasite. I didn't have any negative reaction to those.

I used to have intense energy that "bounced" around my body when i drank coffee and took ginseng.  I thought it was good for me as an A.  I am glad i ran into the genotype diet.  Both ginseng and coffee, caffeine in general, are very bad for explorer genotypes.

I would get surges of adrenaline when i was drinking coffee every day, and had a very short temper.  I was getting into fights and racing cars on the road as well.  My road rage was incredibly bad when i consumed caffeine regularly, like it built up in my body.  With hot weather as well, i had way too much hot energy in my body.

I had started drinking coffee again, and black tea, but put a halt to it day before yesterday.  Caffeine is just terrible for me, gave me high anxiety, high anger, and actual decreases in focus.  Avoiding caffeine is probably the most important thing i learned in the whole genotype book, along with the necessity to sweat and push it when exercising.  It balances me out and gives me calm focus.

I call that a "mocha mate" personally (made from loose yerba mate tea leaves, then strain and stir in cocoa powder, homemade rice milk, and sometimes blackstrap molasses.)

i was a big coffee fan. i had a cup or two every day. caffen never bothered me, i could drink esspresso and go to bed. i was already going to tea before bt though becuse it gave me problems with acid. i had a low acid coffee i used to drink but i finally gave that up too.
now i have my yeba matte with carob abd raw cacoa every morning instead. a bit of raw suger and a spash of cream even it out nicly. tried agave but it just did not work in the mix, might try molasis if i ever get around to buying some.

nothing to do? who has that!?

Here is a good article.  I think it is very important for slow acelylaters such as myself to know.  One cup of coffee for me would equal at least a couple for a lot of ya'll out there i feel.  And it stacks up day after day if you drink caffeine every day.

I stopped drinking coffee and caffeine two days ago and feel already remarkably calmer.

Coffee definitely makes my anxiety worse. And it doesn't even give me the boost that most people feel. I just end up not being able to sleep..

One of the very important things I learned from Attacking Anxiety and Depression course is when anxiety keeps me from sleeping, which is rare now, I was told to tell myself..in my mind...
"I am calm, I am relaxed, I am comfortable"  Just keep thinking it over and over and you'll see..the anxiety goes away and you fall asleep. Really good course on handling Anxiety and depression yourself
