I do swami foods but it seems that the ones that work best are BT foods. I don't follow frequencies of swami at all, I can't and I was soooo excited for new foods, but most don't work so well. All the tidbits for O's ,mild ketosis, careful w/nuts and seeds, don't need grains, beans though some are beneficial only eat occasionally as a side dish, those hold true for me. when I see diamonds in swami and says to eat often, it doesn't work so well. I'd say i look at swami all the time but BT works better.
yes and no. i think BT was better for my weight. All the foods i use on swami are the allowed for BT although some values went from N on BT to SF or diamond on swami so I eat more of those. There are alot of swami foods and portions that simply don't work for me. I avoid all avoids on swami as well as blood type and eat the foods that are BT compliant as well as swami SF or diamond (again, alot of those were N in BT) so in a way, I am combining both diets but that is what works for me. If I had to choose, I guess I'd choose BT but I also know that some BT foods are BETTER for me in my swami. I try to keep my diet simple most of the time as that works best as well. A little meat and veg many times throughout the day. Occasionally add small amounts of other things. If I try to get tricky, it messes with me.
That's great to hear. I too run into problems when I eat too many different foods at the one sitting. I'll type out all the avoid foods on all the different plans and see where that gets me. Thanks!

SWAMI is supposed to be really personalized, and work better for you than either BTD or GTD. If SWAMI isn't working for you, I have to wonder if you didn't input all of your information correctly.
I did very well on BTD. I then switched to GTD and did horribly. On SWAMI, I'm doing better than I did on either BTD or GTD, because it's a hybrid of the two (and contains many more BTD values than GTD values.) Others find that SWAMI gives them more GTD foods and fewer BTD foods.

well actually, I don't necessarily Mix them. I don't eat avoids on either plan and all the foods I do eat are either neutral or SF or diamonds depending on the plan. so in a sence I do both or either. And after thinking about it, i do like swami better because it gives me better values for the foods I do eat and more values for alot more foods. It's just a bunch of those foods don't like me. so to recap: the foods I avoid are avoids on both and the foods I do eat are compliant to both as well. I feel secure with that.

Genoharmonics is something you get with SWAMI that you do not get with any other of the other diets.

Right. I have a history of uteran fibroids and precancerous moles on my skin. i have run swami with and without those as well as digestive issues and looked at the differences. I do eat alot more of the foods with those conditions included. I know certain lectins can attach to those cells and help remove them. That is one beautiful thing about swami. i guess by combing i just meant i don't eat avoids on either and all are beneficial. white mushrooms are the only thing that went from avoid to diamond and I do eat them. all other foods that I eat basically just got a higher rating and I eat more of them. hope I.m not confusing anyone

If maximizing your health is an issue, SWAMI is more targeted.

And it may be that you are "healing" on your SWAMI, which can manifest itself is not so pleasant bodily reactions. Give it at least 30 days, if not the full 6 months of avoiding all black dots and avoids. Then see if you don't feel better.

I am pleased with my Swami.. quick becoming my best friend.. holding hands always there listeling.. and giving good advice..
my food at first did not change much, but little by little some portions changed and supps well I am on a long road of doing every protocol for two month each..
patience is my motto.. I need to tell my self.. and you to.. and avoids.. not for me .. unless one can not avoid them come hell or high water.. black dots I think the same.. I mean why rock the boat??
so at home 100% and out a little leeway.. but not more then 5%..
When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfectionBeing 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships
I have no health issues at the moment but I can do with losing about 14 pounds and am now wondering whether swami is going to do that for me. I've been avoiding the avoids and black dots (apart from potato, baked beans and mayo at the weekend) and I'm still gaining weight. Do I need to lose the weight some other way and then go back to swami to stay healthy?

I love veggies and could eat them all day. Fruit: probably eating too much of it. I love fruit. Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet with the grains even though they are a diamond. I just thought that avoiding the avoids would be enough to do the job

If weight loss is your goal, you need to really pay close attention to portion size and frequency recomendations. You're not going to lose weight if you're eating too much food, even if it's the right food. For overall health, just sticking to the food list is probably enough, but for weight loss, portions matter.
Exercise recomendations are equally important for weight loss.

swami will do that for you and more, but no one is going to take the avoids you are still eating away from you, but yourself
so help swami do its job

OK, I have a question for anyone familiar with these diets. I was so excited to finally get my swami...and it has me as an explorer. Where do I find the percentage? Where do I find the reasoning for making me an explorer?( There was a sentence in the beginning eluding to this.) I have been doing so well on the teacher diet with one exception (sinus). I lost weight without trying, the exercise fits me perfectly, the foods are easily digested and I enjoy them. Is there an easy way to go right to your swami? After I log in , I can't find a way to actually get to my food list, etc. Thanks for any help.

The percentage is located on page 4 or 5 of the diet report.
You must do two things to get a percentage:
Specify "Determine GenoType For Me" if you want a percentage calculated.
GenoType:
Also answer "No" to the question: "Print Abbreviated Diet Report"

If you study your SWAMI list, you will probably discover that it is not the same as the Explorer diet in the book.
It likely includes many of the teacher foods that your were doing well on.
There's a quiz somewhere on here that tells you what diet is best suited for you. I just don't know where to point you. When I took it, mine came up BTD was best for me.
