Been looking for a good source of B12. I've tried quite a few sublinguals and Dr. D's B12's and none of them agree with me completly enough for me to continue buying them. Are injections the way to go? Thanks. |

How do they disagree with you? I doubt that is the problem, that everything "disagrees" with you. The signs may not be what you think.
Are you wanting to take B12 because you feel (or know) you are not absorbing it from food? Red meat is pretty darn rich in it. |

If someone has intestinal damage the absoption may not be adequate from normal deigestive processes of meats. |

I can't and don't eat much meat. Seems as I get older it's harder to digest. I eat mostly fish and turkey. Love sardines, shrimp and lobster. Tried some sublingual b12 again recently. But it interferes with the deep sleep I normally have, makes it not as deep. I did experience all the other benefits of the b12. But it's just not worth sleepusinteruptus. |

What happens when you eat red meat? What other supplements do you take? Do you eat Ghee? If you are struggling with B12 you should be taking Intrinsa at the same time. Intrinsa's name must come from the fact that it is to re-achieve intrinsic value of the intestines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intrinsic_factor |

Do you take the B12 from Dr. D with protein? With meat might be best, but with other protein rich in B vitamins might be good too. Just an idea. I kind of think going through the gut is the way to go on the theory that this is the natural order of the body. If you have malabsorbtion issues due to intestinal damage, there is some healing you need to do there to make things are going good. Might look at probiotics, etc, getting rid of lectins in your diet, getting ghee and other goodies in. Well DOS just posted some of that while I had this screen up. |

What I imagine is happening, potentially.
*1. You have a problem with wheat damage that far exceeds Type O blood relations alone or were a vegetarian a long time.
-A. When you take B12 you get the benefit of Intestinal regeneration. However the process is mediocre and mostly leaves you dealing with the effects of bad bacteria dieing so you are uncomfortable and can not sleep.
-B. When you eat red meat the die off (actually removal of adhesion to intestinal wall) of bad bacteria is difficult for you and unfortunately due to poor absorption of B12 and essential mid and short fatty acids you do not experience continued relief. You are always in a cycle of discomfort and gas.
*2. I am unaware of something like Gallbladder removal or something.
** Note. I am pretty sure even though you may be a very reactive Hunter it is unlikely you are reacting to the different B12 supplements, especially from NAP. Your reactions are probably consequences of having B12 in your system so you can not expect relief from them by getting injections.
What to do about it?
Realize red meat is your friend but B12 and Intrinsa is going to help you heal. PolyFlora will help but will be doing a similar thing that red meat does for you at a slower rate. It may be a bit more gentle so B12, Intrinsa, and PolyFlora for two weeks prior to red meat may be how you want to approach it. You could also consider ARA6 powder or plus form to help.
Do Nostril breathing and make sure to do some stretching/exercising that move the intestines around, for stimulation. |

I was doing the injections for a while. I felt really, really wonderful! But I became paranoid about the aluminum in the liquid, so I quit. I've healed enough thanks to the stuff my ND has me on that I don't even feel like I need the injections anymore. But they got me through a very rough time this last summer. |

most B12 sources have cyano content read about it http://www.4yourtype.com/methylb12.asp
Thank you! That is exactly what I was looking for. I did a site search and came up empt. Probably did it wrong. I see the cyano forms for sale are one fifth the cost of the others I mentioned. I don't plan on using the cyano form. What I'm told is the injection for the Methylcobalamin is different than the cyano, something similar to a diabetes injection. They told me it needs to be injected in fatty tissue. Can it be injected in the arm or buttocks? |

What company did you use if you don't mind the question? What does your ND have you on? Mebbe it will help some of us..? |

It says "American Regent, Inc."
She's got me on a bunch of different stuff for Lyme disease, both homeopathic and supplemental vitamins. She also wanted me to eat according to the BTD (and she was delighted to learn that I have been for 5 1/2 years!) and about 70% raw (I usually do better than that). |

It is similar to the cyanide molecule from what I remember. http://www.4yourtype.com/methylb12.aspInteresting. I have a backload of mercury, which depletes glutathione, which is necessary to remove the toxin from the cyano form of b12 which was in my primo "synthetic" multi for over a year, which I started feeling bad after awhile. Probably a part of it. Complex beings we are. |

Even if you injected the cyano version I think the point is the body may use little of it. |

Be careful of B12 injections. I got an allergic reaction and went into anaphylactic shock last summer within minutes of the injection. Scarey ordeal for me and will NEVER do them again. |

It just makes intuitive sense to me that our interaction with the nutrient world should be through the gut if at all possible-- which is why we have to make sure it's in great shape. We are complexly and elegantly designed. |

As an O I take a B Complex vitamin. Why are you just concentrating on B12? What I have found from sublinguals (under the tongue) is I need to watch the sugar content. As a nonnie it can spin me off into avoids. Debra |

I was given a B12 shot years ago by an MD and felt great. Now that I've cleaned out my closets (as it were) I'm looking to improve my productivity and health as much as possible. I tried the cyno version just for the heck of it. But it didn't agree with me after 2 weeks. Now I'm using the methylcobalamin and it agrees with me just fine. Energy is through the roof and digestion is improved. Though I'm even less hungry than I was before. I'm with you on the added ingredients in the sublinguals. I've taken then over a period of weeks only to see other avoids creep in. Then I was left wondering why. One thing leads to another. As to why- As we get older we often become severly b12 depleted, or so I've read. http://www.amazon.com/Could-Be-B12-Epidemic-Misdiagnoses/dp/1884956467 |

Dear friends, help me! My husband has chronic fatigue syndrome. In the book Dr. Peter D'Adamo "LIVE RIGHT 4 YOUR TYPE " is pragramma taking vitamins and nutritional supplements, including methylcobalamin (the active form of vitamin B 12). This drug can not be found in Ukraine and Russia. Maybe you know what can replace it? Thank you so much!

can you afford to order from Dr D? 001 877 226 8973.. BUT I would rather you did the blood test.. for secretor??? what is his blood type??? IF HE can eat right according to the book he will be much better in one year.. IF he is willing to give up all avoid foods and eat only Beneficials ... then he will be better in 3 month.. ask other questions here.. you will be able to help in other ways then pills and supplements.. the biggest learning is in your husband.. what he did before (mom's cooking) is not good for him. |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |
