Don is my brother-in-law and he has quite severe rheumatoid arthritis in his hands. My sister sent my whole family this email:
"I thought you'd like to know to know about the major GOOD changes to Don's health. Peg gave him the book "Eat Right for Your Type" by Dr. Peter D'Adamo in October, and for the last month we have worked at following the diet.. Mostly we have entirely cut out red meat, cheese, tomatoes, and have been very careful about other things. Within this time he has completely stopped the medicine he needed for the pain and inflamation. One day this week I made us pasta with clam sauce. Clams are in the "do not eat under any circumstances" column. Within an hour he was in pain again. I'm taking that list with me whenever I grocery shop! And the good thing is that without the medicine he is not ruining his liver! - Many more good years to live...
I'm sharing this with you because if you or anyone in your family has ongoing health issues, I urge you to check this book out. The beginning chapters describe the science behind the diets (different diets for every blood type). I'm such a believer!
Thanks again, Peg for thinking of him, and for the unbelievable change to his health!"
I have one niece who has hypertension and psoriasis and my other niece's 13 y.o daughter has quite severe asthma. This sister and I are hoping that these two, at least, will check out the book and diet and see if it helps them (as we are sure it will). |

That is such good news! The fact that your gift was received with open minds means that there is hope for improvement in his health. Maybe he would like to get into Dr. D's Arthritis book now. |

Drea, I agree - I am SO glad I didn't wait until Christmas. He would have had several additional months of pain! He is OFF the Methotrexate so that is no longer a danger to his liver. Victoria, I gave him both ER4YT and the Arthritis Book at the same time. I am not certain which one they are focusing on. My sister emailed me later after I suggested she check out the web site. She will be getting the newsletter and learned, to her surprise, that Os tend to have problems with thyroid, and she was recently diagnosed with a thyroid problem. She will be doing a lot more reading and fine-tuning their diet. My other sister is a dietitian so I don't think she would ever be real interested in trying this or would encourage her daughter to try it, but she says she is very impressed with the results, so you never know! |
