Chia and yerba mate aren't on the blood type diet list of foods that I can find. As I was perusing the GTD I saw yerba mate. I'm type A+ and my wife is type O+. How do chia and yerba mate fit in? Yerba mate is similar to green tea, so I thought I could assume it to be equal, but in the GTD book it didn't appear to work that way, the hunter was recommended yerba while the teacher was recommended green tea. After reading "Born To Run" I have purchased chia seeds to drink as a recovery drink. Any thoughts? |

You could consider it a neutral for the time being. Or if you want to get real specific, look at the only 3 genotypes that you could be, as an A: Explorer Warrior Teacher Then look to see how those foods rank for the three genotypes.
Oh, and type O can only be one of 3 genotypes also: explorer gatherer hunter |

If you would like a wide selection of rated foods, simply follow the GenoType diet and ignore the blood type diet ratings.
Both Chia and Yerba Maté are rated in the GenoType diet.
-----
If following the blood type diet, unrated foods are considered to be neutral.
---------
If you are following the GenoType diet, Yerba Maté is neutral for teachers. They can still drink it, but Green Tea is a better choice.

That's interesting, I haven't analyzed it like that. |

I would love to get the SWAMI software but we're poor college students right now. We get our books from the library. I like yerba mate a lot more than green tea, but it's mostly the way I drink it out of a gourd I think. Thanks for the responses! |

I'm an A and do really well on yerba mate. As a Warrior it's a highly beneficial for me. My mother is an AB and is also a warrior. She on the other hand doesn't seem to do well with yerba mate. I'd an odd ball though. I think I need to recheck a few things. I keep getting this gut feeling that I'm an explorer and not a warrior. Of course than it would only be neutral for me. I think my mom has a bit of a healing crisis when she drinks it. It just makes her want to sleep. Probably so she can heal or something. Sorry now I'm just rambling. I think I'll remeasure myself tomorrow and try to sort out my explorer/warrior question. hmmm |

Nah, my mind is just like yours. I enjoy an odd sense of humor. Hence my statement about me being odd earlier. lol I think we've hijacked this thread! Oops. One more question. Do you know any other New Zealanders? Lady hawk posted a thread on sushi and I gave her my recipe for it and I add Bragg's Amino Acid. Do you have that over there? |
