I have not been. I try to eat stuff that has a lot in it though like black beans, tofu, etc.
In the past it started in on a purge of my intestines when I had an infection.
What I am a little confused on is what I should eat if carbohydrates are harsh on me. I mean vegetables and protein obviously but I feel a bit short. It just seems hard to hit the right level of blood sugar without going over.
As soon as my food stamps arrive I am going to get a bunch of diabetes superfoods. |

The health status of the digestive system and the kidneys significantly influence magnesium status. Magnesium is absorbed in the intestines and then transported through the blood to cells and tissues. Approximately one-third to one-half of dietary magnesium is absorbed into the body [9-10]. Gastrointestinal disorders that impair absorption such as Crohn's disease can limit the body's ability to absorb magnesium. These disorders can deplete the body's stores of magnesium and in extreme cases may result in magnesium deficiency. Chronic or excessive vomiting and diarrhea may also result in magnesium depletion [1,10].
from wikipedia on magnesium deficiency & associated problems... Healthy kidneys are able to limit urinary excretion of magnesium to make up for low dietary intake. However, excessive loss of magnesium in urine can be a side effect of some medications and can also occur in cases of poorly-controlled diabetes and alcohol abuse [11-18].
Early signs of magnesium deficiency include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and weakness. As magnesium deficiency worsens, numbness, tingling, muscle contractions and cramps, seizures (sudden changes in behaviors caused by excessive electrical activity in the brain), personality changes, abnormal heart rhythms, and coronary spasms can occur [1,3-4]. Severe magnesium deficiency can result in low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia). Magnesium deficiency is also associated with low levels of potassium in the blood (hypokalemia) [1,19-20]. |

I ate some sunflower seeds and I got some much needed rest... I think magnesium is definitely low in my system much like B12 often happens to be. |

It would be great if I could just go see Dr. D but that is not going to happen as far as I know.
I agree this is the best thing to do. Could you consider this again, give it another thought and find a way to do it? In Dr. D's clinic they will sort it out for you, and I believe will simplify it for you. |

You do not understand, it would have to cost me like $20 to fly back east and go to the appointment. Today I ate a huge spinach salad and got lots of magnesium, B12, etc... still peeing like crazy. |

D of S..... Exactly how much do you pee? I would ask the question only because you may void often but only so much, or you may indeed void a lot at one time.. possibly it would pay to hold it all to see the volume as too much could be a sign of something to look at with a doctor. On the other hand if you are eating greens you may have activated your fluids and they are leaving your body as they should have long ago. The way I see weight loss is through the causes of 'fluid retention' being removed.. what do you think it is? are you also losing other fluid (excessively) through sweating? saliva? for no reason? are you feeling strong or weak form the frequent urine loss? are you losing weight? You say your sugar is tested as ok, but some excessive fluid drop may be connected to some other thing. (even though I expect you to 'just' be losing weight which is a good thing? I think it right that you at least pay attention to it. what color or taste is the urine? strong flush or soft release? (for taste, if it is sweet then its diabetes of a different form.) if its dark yellow, there may be foods that cause that. or foamy?? All that matters. by comparison- before you started to void often or much, -- are you feeling great now compared to then.. ? are you ever light headed? do you lose fluid when you sneeze? what is your demeanor when you pee.. a smile or a grimace? relive, surprise or terror? |

I would say perhaps the latter two if you are tasting it??!! |

I have to eat sugar or a bunch of carbohydrates in order to turn it into anything but a big relieving good power clear stream. ANY green tea sets it off and I go a few times especially if I drink any water after. I am afraid of being dehydrated.
I feel better after going. I am not weak. I like to think I am losing weight but can not say for sure. I feel a tiny bit light headed at times when I stand up but that is normal I think.
Lately I have had less anxiety, stress, etc... |

This sounds good! As has been mentioned a lot in the forums, 2-3 grains of salt in your drinking water improve hydration (intra-cellular hydration). A diet rich in fresh greens will also hydrate you well and will benefit your general health big time. |

and fruits will help with fluids too.. Green tea I still think is a good flush, and as long as you keep drinking then you pee.. but drinking ought not be more then 6-8 glasses.. total, as you other wise will wash out the needed minerals.
Lightheaded, is another issue .. A's are prone to light headedness.
the fact that you seem to have less stress is a good thing.. sometimes we attract stress when we can least handle it.. IF you did green tea conversion from coffee then its working..
so as long as there is no foaminess all is ok.. and as long as you are not loosing water involuntary I would stop worrying .. only when you are EXCESSIVELY thirsty do you need to worry.. or loosing more fluid then you take in.. IF ever you can afford it, like in spring, then buy dandelions and juice them .. a small glass will do to clear out old toxins.. if not then just eat compliant fruit and vegetables..
as for tasting .. if it smells like dead fish that is one thing.. if it smells like ammonia that is another, but correctable with water as you are doing.. so that leaves tasting it for extra sweetness.. but if that gags you I understand..
the pain in your legs is also another thing, if you are loosing weight it could just be fluid exchange.. if you where (and you say you are not now) diabetic that would be a bigger concern as it could be neuropathy, but as long as there are no permanent numb areas , I think it will correct itself.. Numb areas would most likely be from the propensity of diabetes.. but THE BIG issue then is that you BE VERY careful not to injury your self on the feet, or if you ever do have something that you keep a good eye on it so as not to (seriously) loose your foot..
so measure your intake and measure your output and if they are about equal + or - the fluid you loose through breathing and the skin.. about 2 quarts.. then all is well.. for now.. just keep a eye open and don't become complacent.. But time will heal all if you are able to eat compliant.. how hard is it to avoid the avoids?? |

When I wake up in the morning there is a chance my pee is sweet smelling but it is hard to say, could be ammonia or something too. It just smells different and is concentrated. I can not tell if it is foamy because it goes directly into the drain where I pee.
I think my insulin resistance is just through the roof or my body is confused on keeping stable blood sugar. I guess? I wish my left arm would stop getting the circulation cut off so easily when I sleep on my left side... it actually hurts some because the circulation gets so poor. |

Even if it is sweet what would it matter?
I read it could be white blood cells. |

fenugreek can mimic maple in some metabolisms......perhaps that s what you are perceiving as sweet |

sweet urine is DIABETES related.. it's like honey.. you can taste..
if frothy: it's the kidneys
if its yellow: then to much protein in the urine, the liver is working to hard..
if it smeels like dead fish then drink more to flush the bladder..
if it burns it's infection,
if it's not flowing it's prostrate, or PTSD,
if it's way more then you take in in fluids its the heart working to hard..
and if you stop peeing you might have high temp..
all this is hearsay.. |
