How did knowing your secretor status change your life? I know that it changed your food choices that is not he question.

How did it effect you emotionally and physically?
Thanks, Andrea

Other than food, no emotional impact for me; just information.  On food, it was an improvement for me!  I got a fair number of foods back that were big gives for me when I assumed I was a secretor.

I still feel like a nonnie trapped in a labeled secretor body.  Anxious to get the Lewis antigen test before too long to confirm or deny my saliva testing.

I love it !!!!!!! as it confirmed what I sensed but had no idea about.. I am not my sister!

AND

THEN I COULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

It was an important piece of the puzzle that just dropped into place.  I was relieved to finally understand that I am not a hypochondriac.  Also, I finally had the incentive to be consistent with something that I knew would greatly improve my quality of life.  If I had not turned out to be a non-secretor, I doubt that I would have had the self-discipline to choose the high-level of compliance that I follow.

I am majorly grateful!!!

It is another piece of information...  It was a bit of a relief to find that I would have an easier time getting and staying healthy, but it still hasn't been easy.  I can't imagine how long it would have taken to regain health if I had been a Nonnie.

I had already started avoiding all avoids for my type for both Secretor and Non, so I was able to add back a few foods.

Do you have major healing going on internally?

I still feel somewhat this way, but can tell the body is detoxing and healing, so know it will come to an end...  I just don't know how much longer it will take.  I realize now that I had far more injury and compounded illness than I originally thought, so that is much of the explanation for me...  Don't know if it is the same for you...

I will be very happy if I turn out to be a secretor.  That would be some good news.

I was kinda disappointed to find out I was a secretor at the time. I thought that would explain my many cavities. Instead I had to come to grips with the reality that it was all the sugar I ate.

Knowledge is power.  SWAMI gives you the diet that will unlock the key to better health, and it's all based on your unique individuality.

I had mixed feelings.  I prefer my food options as a secretor, but it's left some questions unanswered.  I've been swamix'd...so I'm just going to trust the process.  And hope for some relief, soon.

I have known my secretor status for quite a while, but I was surprised that so many health issues are associated with secretor status. I read the Eat Right 4 Your Type book first about 10 years ago and then the Live Right book came out very shortly after and then I read that book.

I could relate to the A nonnie diet more than the original BTA diet in the Eat Right book. I do very poorly on a high carb/high grain diet. And the GTD is still yet a better fit for me and the SWAMIX even more so.

Some of the issues associated with non-secretors I can relate to such as more allergies, inflammation, autoimmune tendencies, gluten sensitivity, and dental caries. As far as the food choices I do much better with a higher protein/lower carb diet and moderate amount of fats. Low fat, high carb diets have always  promoted more inflammatory issues in my case, but eating high quality fats and proteins have always suited me well.
