I have noticed Im not bloated and not craving foods and not hungry all the time like I usually am before my period. Im pretty sure cutting out wheat and other stuff has played a role in this ..has anyone else noticed a reduction in their PMS too? |

Yep for me it was all the soy and weird veggie oils that made me pms ( I am a former vegetarian) Lately I have had some issues with heavy bleeding and a small fibrom and following the female protocol and going lower carb have reduced it huge ! |

I still get PMS, but my cycles are more regular and the flow is lighter than I used to get, pre-BTD. |

I used to have bad pms before the BTD. I would have very bad painful cramps. Eliminating the avoids and adding the beneficial foods have helped. I have regualr cycles now and little to no pain each month. I think brewer's yeast or nutritional yeast helped with that also. |

by all means! lectins in general, and avoids trigger an insulin resistance of some form..... I live happily and free of inflammation staying compliant......this is important to me all I crave are my beneficials......the rest. I gladly give away to other more needy! |

I've only been on the diet for 9 days and my period is late. Can the diet affect my cycle so quickly? |

Ha! My period was a few days late without the usual spotting for three days prior and it lasted only 4 days with very little cramping and aching. I was awfully crabby before it came though...but this could be due to the detoxing from the diet.
I am on my third week and doing GREAT! |

My 21 year old daughter has significant improvement in her PMS once she started following the Warrior diet. |

Now that you said that, I am putting on some green tea (with caffeine) right now even though I am getting some very mild cramping. I never would have had caffeine on this day of my cycle a year ago. Now I just take it for granted that that time of the month isn't such a big thing anymore. Not sure if I can sort it out as to just wheat or if it's the whole plan. I'm not as compliant as I would like to be with SWAMI yet-- still in the neutral zone quite a bit. |

I've been on BTD for 2 yrs now and my PMS is gone. (ok, I still get a little grumpy, but the bloating/cravings/etc. is gone) Also, my cramps are virtually gone (used to need TONS of motrin to get through the first couple of days), but it's definitely tollerable! |

Same here--huge difference! My period has become lighter, shorter and next to no pain and very little bloating. No more acne before the period. I also have no headaches associated with discomfort during the period. Prior to BTD, I never had a period during which I did not suffer--even since the very beginning when I was a teenager. I still get grumpy sometimes and also I get extra cravings for chocolate, but that's about all |

Ah, yes . . . . I think I can still remember those days! And, my BTD did help with all the unpleasant symptoms! |
