Hey, I read a claim that if you eat too much alpha linoleic acid, ALA, which is found in great amounts in flaxseed oil and camelina oil among others, the oil can harden in your body like if you grease wooden chair with current flaxseed oil and wait until it becomes oxidized and hardens. If you don't eat enough antioxidants, the reaction in your body is quite similar. Maybe the same with omega6 (linoleic acid).

So when you eat quite much greasy
-nuts, seeds and almonds

remember to eat
-berries, chocolate and other antioxidant rich foods to avoid oxidation.

Is this right? Have I made a mistake somewhere here?

I assume variety is key and following your frequencies values given in your swami....
all has been accounted for according to you.....ER also has all the math included in the food lists

Well this is something I would like to do, but it is not what the food combining folks tell me I should do.

I like blueberries mixed with walnut pieces.

Dried fruit with nuts or peanuts, I am quite enthused with.

I don't normally eat chocolate, but I would like chocolate with nuts or nut butters.

And why in a wonder you should not combine such foods?

Food combining is often debated on the boards.

There are many old threads that explain it.

It is not a requirement of the blood type diet. Some members find it helpful. I find that it complicates life.

Green Root- I think that's a gross oversimplication. Oils can't harden in the body the way they do at room temperature, exposed to air.

If you eat close to the portion sizes and frequencies of all foods (including green tea) recomended by Dr. D in any one of  his books, you'll be getting plenty of antioxidants.  You don't need to over-think it.

Thank you very much!
I also thought there is not so much oxygen in your digestion system than in the air...

The problem may again be that I have tendency to consume sometimes too much flaxseed and other veggie proteins and oils, which can go rancid easily.

But yes, I try to consume berry powders (bilberry) and dehydrated berries (goji, mulberry, cape gooseberry, chokeberry) and also frozen and fresh berries - besides green / white / bancha tea, nettle and other herbs.

Remember that so much of the "data" you read is done without regard for blood type specificity or, in some cases, reasonable quantity levels...  All of the information needs to be passed through a "reasonableness filter" so you gather good information and allow the trash to float on by...

The results of Dr. D's work in me have made me trust his recommendations so much that I find myself more and more questioning anything that is contrary to his recommendations.
