i have had this lower abdomen (colon) bloating for a long long time now. diet compliance has not gotten rid of it. a lot of the btd herbs work ok like ginger, turmeric, but these only pacify the problem.

i am not positive but it would be a good guess that this is caused by some stubborn or very long term parasites, perhaps some that have been there since childhood. i have already expelled different types of parasites during cleansing periods.

Do you know what parasites? Knowing their life cycle might help. Doing a cleans at the correct time to keep the little critters from hatching eggs. I'm not very knowledgeable on this. I'm going by how we control fleas which have a two week cycle. Have you tried the intestinal health protocol ?

See if you can get a breath hydrogen done, more then likely gut bacteria out of whack.

Intrinsia, deflect, gastro-D, polyflora O are all great products

Sounds like parasites, there are many different protocols out there. A stool test can tell you just what kind you are dealing with.......

Perhaps yo could try going very low carb, low sugar and fruit free for a week, stick to meat and fish with a few veg. including broccoli. don't cheat and us cheat sugars. this will help the situation if you are one of the following

carbohydrate intolerant, fructose intolerant or have yeast problem. once you know which (if it is one of those things, you can start finding out which one very easily.

do you have a lot of wind?

We're having a full moon right now...and your issue has come up at this time to make me think
you are still dealing with parasites..Parasites are more active during a full moon.  For everyone
having gut problems during a full moon, consider your gut ecology...How much good bacteria
are you putting in your body...culturing vegetables?  Dairy,  as in yogurt, kefir, etc.  Taking Polyflora
with Live Cell for your BT.

Just some info to read...not recommending or know about any particular products that might
be here.

http://www.zhealthinfo.com/parasites.htm

PS

I wanted to add that ghee would be helpful because it contains butyrate which helps with lower
bowel issues.  NAP's Intrinsia contains butyrate.

wouldn't the low carb low sugar calm all of these potential issue? if you treat them individually it would takes a long time. I'm new to this so probably missing something. rather than very quickly finding out if indeed it is one of those. as if it was the parasites it would not change as much.

i know to identify exactly which one, you do them separately but the problem probably includes a bit of each. being O and a Nonnie and 44.

i learned about the moon/parasite connection many years ago. on some full moons i definitely feel it, others not so much.

in the past just staying on the diet was enough, i didn't have to do any special cleanses and they would come out.  now this is a different story and i don't know why.

there is no way i'm going without fruits, i think that would be a step backward. in the old days i used to do that and suffered for it.

i am semi-open to polyfora or other supplements. but i haven't yet found a supplement that was as good as a natural food source -- even enzymes that claim to be many times stronger than foods, i always find the raw food version to be superior. i have taken some expensive probiotics in the past, and they do work, but  never really make that big of a difference compared to staying compliant on the diet. compliance has been the most noticeable and effective way to get the flora in a good place.

i tried fermenting beets last month but it didn't come out well. maybe i should try ginger or another vegetable and use a culturing agent this time.

-- no skin problems.

avoiding raw onion is probably a good idea.

re stool tests for parasites, i have found these to be absolutely worthless, and i think you find people who have experience with cleansing find the same thing. multiple negative tests and then they will pass boatloads of worms. i had a few stool tests done years ago, all came up negative, and then subsequently i would pass parasites. i stopped bothering about indentifying the particular species after i noticed at least 7 or 8 different kinds coming out.

i am thinking of something topical to target the ones at the lower abdomen, maybe some topical iodine. also thinking about one of those abrasive colon cleansing formulas with bentonite to mechanically get at whatever may be there. i feel like i need to be aggressive with this now, as it has gone on for too long. i can handle short burts of parasite cleansing but not prolonged bouts where i feel i'm just getting slowly poisoned to death

tnere is no constipation but i often get agitated before passing stool, this is probably another sign of parasites.

i use ghee liberably as well as butter, and both of them are good/very good, but they haven't gotten close to the root of the problem. i tried butyrate capsules some years ago and felt terrible. who knows, maybe it was some sort of die-off reaction, but it just felt like a really toxic sort of chemical rather than something nourishing.

why would the fruit be a step backwards, you may have two problems sugar and parasits or maybe just sugar. whatever happens i hope you get sorted. the colon cleansing would be a good idea i think. by a professional who would have some experience regarding worms.

butyric acid is a by product of bacterial growth  so is the one you mentioned a base to neutalise it? why not just use baking soda?

Parasites have blood types too!

here are Dr D s wise words of advice given to someone who had been through
a so called parasite cleanse.....too popular and too dangerous for my taste but again.....to each their own....take it or leave it..
Quoted Text
Dr D
I hate to tell you this, but that 'parasite cleanse' probably just
screwed up your digestive system's ecobalance, which is a shame
since ER4YT is a program that elegantly, if laboriously and slowly,
builds it up. Please, before you do a parasite cleanse, or whatever,
run basic conventional tests, like ova and parasites, to determine
if you really have the problem. Anyway, think about using the
probiotic for your blood type, and perhaps the amino sugar NAG
(n-actylated glucosamine) to begin to repair some of the damage.

butyric acid is formed for example when a dirty sponge is left, the sickly smell is the butyic acid. in the stomach enzymes digesting fats convert them to butyric acid so when we through up it smells like  a dirty sponge.  amonia would cure it but i wouln't drink that lol

when i say colon cleanse that is irrigation by the way is he saying that is bad too. i've never tried it but was comtemplating it at some time in the future.

"The anti-fungal and anti-tumor effects of butyric acid, a short chain fatty acid, are unique to butter. Butyric acid is an energy source for the cells lining the colon, where it plays a part in development and maintenance. It reduces chronic inflammation of the colon, and high fecal levels correlate with decreased colon cancer risk. In people with compromised immune systems, undifferentiated cell growth can be inhibited by butyric acid."

thus the reason for a hydrogen test mentioned above....to rule out H S, allowing butyric acid do it s thing

Quoted Text
Hydrogen sulfide production inhibits the metabolism of butyric acid and
other short chain fatty acids, which in turn starve colonocytes, and induce lesions similar to ulcerative colitis.

so lets say fro arguments (but seriously) sake your body odour is smelling a bit like sickly - does that mean for future reference that you have a bacterial overgrowth that is getting rid of stuff through your skin? reminds me to eat more garlic when I'm ill next. or is it a bacterial growth outside you body from a contaminated oil or butter or cheese.

still all down to sugar lol

and on that subject if you are using expensive organic olive oil should you keep it in the fridge to stop it going rancid?
