Pure cranberry juice (water it down some so he can drink it) and lots of paprika on his food. Keep low on egg whites.
Stinging Nettle is good too. |

Well our DD just woke us up with a terrible ear ache!
So, she being an Aplus nonnie, I am trying the onion remedy for inside the ear and rubbing garlic infuse oil all the way down to the neck area to help drainage ...
Hopefully that will settle her pain and in the morning I can boost her immune system with the immune boost pack ... Any other suggestions? thanks ... |

jUST SAW THE DOCTOR! She has a nasty middle ear infection! Usual prescriptions: antibiotics and pain relievers ... She did managed to get some sleep last night ... nearly passed out this morning though ... doc has asked her to do another blood test for her thyroid, to check it out ... I concentrate on feeding her stuff I know is good for her ... |

Thank goodness she has you, Cristina! You will take good care of her! Poor thing....I know how painful ear infections are...mine were from poor sinus drainage...probably not as severe as middle ear! Hope she feels better soon! |

Since Mother's Day is fast approaching, also remember that recurring otitis media (ear infections) is strongly associated with the child's mother being blood type A. In fact the correlation here is quite startling.

Thanks Lola, .... I know ... it is all my fault!!! ... ... that had played in my mind once or twice ... If I only known about this path earlier ... She is much better today, thanks goodness .... OK, now for solutions ... we know my blood type sort of gave the kids a otitis sentence ... but that is for non compliant mothers and/or children ... too late for me now to reset the genes in my kids via my womb (cannot turn time back) ... but the kids do have a chance to silence those genes ... DGD particularly ... so her kids will have a better chance ... In the meantime the antibiotics and compliance food intake seem to be doing their job ... |

PrincesMia, Cajun, also thanks for your assistance and words of encouragement ... Also, you cannot just awake with a middle ear infection, good one minute, middle ear infection next!! We did enjoy a mother to daughter chat about listening to our body, the signals our body is sending, we should not ignore them, but embrace them as alarms to act, bring up the re-enforcements of full compliance to speed healing and stop the damage before it gets to these painful stages ... she did have a funny feeling in her ear for a few days prior, but disregard it as something or other and got mixed up with what was or was not good for her type ... ahhh ... a luxury only youth can afford ... hopefully this lesson is learnt and remembered in time for whatever is or will be in the future ... leave and learn ... look at me ... finally getting it ... better late than never ... |

Yep, we all have to learn how to care for ourselves... It takes longer and more diligence for some. It doesn't take too many episodes like this to learn to listen to the body. Some positive discussion is helpful, especially when you have a successful answer! |

Interesting about ear infections being connected to "listening to nagging or negativity." I've had an earache since Friday night, and DS has been incredibly negative lately. I suspect he's nervous about returning to school but won't admit it. This particular ailment is my throat raw and sore on the left side only, going all the way back to my eustacean tube. I was dizzy yesterday but I'm not anymore.
I tried the hydrogen peroxide in my ear last night, but it left me feeling even more congested in my ear and only made me feel worse. Of course, that might have been some kind of healing crisis rather than "getting worse" but I'm not sure. I'm taking plenty of vitamin C and raw garlic. |
