Saw a dietitian today re M's issues, nice lady, but did go on a bit about M not getting enough calcium, since she does not do dairy products. she was also worried that M didn't eat any cereal.

I said she gets loads of calcium fro fresh fruit and vegetables, and that she gets carbs from them too, so she is going away to calculate how much calcium she gets from these. God help us. It was obvious from just looking at her that she was an O and she had wheat issues herself, did'nt have the patience to explain it to her and also thought the BTD would be too much fro her head lol

I can't take 'professionals'.. they seem to check their brains at the door of - Learn this and do that and follow the same old ... ..

I am soooooo tired of all the money we spend on those high cost items.. not to mention the damage this human is doing by undermining what we learn here..

I have to cheat myself out of going to the conference - this year and it is so near..  I cant pay it this year.. but darn it: the reason I can't is that I spent 100 thousand dollars plus on looking to feel at least human.. and not like a ball of lint.. what I could have saved if Dr D was in my life years earlier..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

I think you know more than seem does about nutrition and healthsome eating which renders the whole exercise a little pointless! This is why I never go to the doctors . They don't know they're a**e from their elbow!

P.s sardines for calcium!

ignorance can be very frustrating. take blood tranfusion for exsample. once apon a time if you were sick they bled you and made you weaker with out knowing it. then they went the other way and started feeding you blood and now they are relizing that the best way is to lose as little as possible and to simply fill the volume if there will be blood loss, although there are still plenty of ignorant mds out there pushing blood as a cure all and giving us a host of new blood sickness every day.
some day they will catch on but untill then those of us who know about diet (and blood) will just have to deal with all the ignorant or suffer.

Late last summer, into fall and winter my stomach and intestinal issues came to a head and I seriously had to seek professional medical help from a Gastrointerologist.  He ran a litany of tests on me and found nothing!!!  I had tried every protocol that was suggested in relation to Dr. D's encyclopedia and nothing seemed to work.

The Gastro doc suspected an intestinal hernia or perhaps a bowel obstruction, neither that could be seen by any of the tests he did.  He also sent me to a dietician.  She had heard about the BTD/GTD, but really didn't know much about it and asked me to come back in a week and to fill out a daily diary.  I pulled out my food diary that I had been keeping because I knew sooner or later the docs were going to ask what I was eating or send me to a dietician.  She was surprised at how well I had been eating and VERY IMPRESSED.  She said I didn't need to bother coming back in a week, that she couldn't help me with my dietary intake because it couldn't get much better than what I was already doing.  I did a jig out of the office saying "YES! YES!! YES!!!

I went back to the doc and he read the "glowing report" he got back from the dietician about me and my dietary intake.  He was impressed as well.

My treatment didn't stop there, but my story with the impressed dietician and gastro doc does.

Every medical professional I have chatted with about the BTD/GTD has been intrigued or impressed and I have been encouraged to continue with it.  I have yet to be dismissed about it.

My husband said at one time to me, "that if his patients ate a diet like anything close to mine, he wouldn't see all the medical issues he sees".  Apparently, to them, a vegetable is a potatoe or corn and green leafy veggies are not on their menu.  Most foods are fried in grease and the meats are laden in fat.  It breaks his heart when he sees a family come in with both parents morbidly obese and their children that they bring in with them are morbidly obese too.  A 6 or 7 year old should not be weighing 100 lbs.  He tries to educate these patients, but they don't listen.  So, the cycle continues generation after generation.

PC,

There are plenty of medical professionals out there that don't think you could possibly know as much as they do about eating healthy food.  You may not see eye to eye on everything, but there has to be some common ground that you both can agree on.  If not,.... My thoughts are "your fired"... NEXT!

yup sounds like america all over.   it's not that there is not the right food out there, it is that people are to lazzy to cook or just to bussy and they turn to fast food. you say the word healthy and they roll their eyes at you, you say FATNING and they lauph like you just made a joke. they complain about how tired and draggy and generaly not feeling good they are and you tell them to change your diet and they look at you like you just sprouted a second head.
the worst ones to me are the ones who know what they should be eating and they just keep on eating the same ol' **** becuse it is what they have always eaten and they like it. like telling a smoker what their butts are doing to them and every one they love and they smoke anyway.

Funny Lola yup the docs are a mess. I gave one doc Dr. D's books  after his heart surgery due to diabetic complications. He still is eating bad and has a huge abdomen ( I wonder what his breathe hydrogen is), but he still won't listen.
The nutritionist at my hospital looks awful she is over weight and  aging rapidly.  Everytime I look at her I think if she only knew the truth.

You want to have a health professional who is old, but has an extraordinarily youthful and vigorous body.

Didn't Dr. D' Adamo say that his dentist commented on his healing like a twenty year-old?

Quoted from Andrea AWsec

That really does not make any sense!

If you have a large abdomen, apart from recording it in your Swami’s waist measurement, is there anything that you can do?  My wife was told by her GP that she has herniated abdominal muscles.

If an Explorer’s breath hydrogen is high is there a different therapeutic shift, compared to a Teacher?  I have lost three inches, but that still leaves me at 57".  I really should have a 44” chest and I would settle for a 36” waist.

All these questions just mean that I really need an appointment with a practitioner.

Just a bit on breath hydrogen. Not every practitioner owns a breath hydrogen monitor.
Paul if you come to Conn, next year I promise to bring my machine and the lactulose needed to do the test.

and yes I suspect it has something to do with which supplements would be best for you, bacteria in the upper GI versus lower GI.

I will try and get Dr. D to tell me at this conference, but I can't be sure I will remember anything once I see him. It seems every time I see him I forget what I need to ask, I just figure over time i wlll learn what I  need to know when the time is right.

My dental hygienist   asked me about my diet because the last time I'd been in I had dropped gluten and had some really positive results. I started telling her about BTD and GTD. She said "Oh, I looked at the Blood Type thing when it came out, it's foolish! how could not all fruits and vegetables now be good for me?" I tried to say something like "what! you think all fruits and vegs are the same, all created equal?" but it turned out more like "muhmamuthymu?" because she was already working in my mouth....Next time.....

Thank you Andrea, I would pay you an appropriate amount for that.

I am not expecting anyone to go away and do hours of work just to satisfy my curiosity.  Hopefully, I will soon be taking Explorer supplements again and Deflect.  I will need it, a retraining centre is eyeing me as a summer holiday fill-in for their contract teachers.  It promises to be interesting work with motivated adults - quite different from my high school and undergraduate clients, although some of those are amazing individuals.

I do try to spread the word about Dr. D’ Adamo’s work among my clients – citing my fall weight loss.

That is too funny and saddly also true.  However, we could say that about nurses too.  I have seen ALOT obese nurses and they smoke!  And it is not in just traditional medicine, I work in a medical plaza and have three NMD's across the hall from me, they have a wellness center.  They are very nice and I am sure they are good at what they do, but 2 out of the 3 of them are at least 50 lbs over weight.  About two weeks ago one said to me "Wow you look great. Have you lost weight?"  My reply was, "yes I did it with by following the BTD, remember I asked you about it last year?"  She said she had and that she didn't buy into all of the theory behind it.  It was an eyerolling moment for me as I thought "WHATEVER, of course you don't that is why you are 50+ lbs over weight and you waltz in and out of this building at least a couple of times a week with McDonalds or Taco Bell, so much for wellness!!!!

The deal is, there are hypocrits in all facets of medicine.  That is why I am selective about who I chose as my providers.
