Hi what's the lowdown on eggs, I think we have narrowed Emily's remaining reaction to eggs albeit it seems to be a longer reaction time - still might be additions though.
A note of some reactions to food that are normally allowed relating to O nonnie in particular the following would be interesting
Eggs, Carrots, Spinach, rye crackers, pineapple, pommegranet, onion, garlic. and any others. including the reaction if it's not x rated.
It still might just be too much fruit, just fine tuning so not really a panic. but may be useful for others too. |

It's weird because I never used to like eggs as a child, biology was possibly the cause of that didn't eat them for years - then when food options were restricted suddenly eggs became a delightful option for me with spinach in the morning, it makes the gatherer thing more enjoyable. Emily loves them too but something is going on with them and her I’m nearly sure of it.
I was going to say I can't give her a half an egg but actually something someone said has given me a idea of giving her just the egg whites one day and then the egg yolk a few days later. See if that brings up anything.
I had my first pomegranate this week as did Emily , funny lovely little things they are to – who designed those little suckers – it took me 20 minutes to peel the darn thing – Emily calls then princess gem stones, well actually I called them that to get her to try them and it stuck. lol

They're pretty easy to disrobe if you hold them under water in a bowl. Keeps them from bouncing all over the place. They will float to the top and you can collect them easily.
Seems funny we tend to take a subject line like "Eggs" and end up discussing "Pomegranates". My how we wander! |

DEAR PC.. my vote on :is the Eggs, Carrots, Spinach, rye crackers is for the rye crackers.. I am so puzzled that you insist on giving this child any grains.... to me that just does not make any sense.. I feel that strongly enough to go this far: if you give this child grains.. then she will react to other things just because her gut is not in as good a shape she could be.. the eggs can be it but if you mix it up with all sort of other stuff you will never get a good picture.. I for one have a sensitivity to milk - many foods have milk in it - in small amounts - and a while later I feel it in one spot on my right.. now I don't seem to have that reaction to cream. you see on egg you know is on egg until you buy eggs with Omega 3 added.. then you may be in trouble all over again as it was tempered with.. so each food by itself.. but what you are not getting in the RYE CRAKER is that it is cooked backed and MANUFACTORED by others.. lets just say.. it has dust of peanuts on it, it might be that which your daughter reacts to.. I mean make your own omelet silver dollar size and add home made jellies and you have all the opportunities to 'replace' those store bought items with one type of flower.. or even grind the flower your self since it takes so little.. I for my part have not eaten any grains for years.. and felt no bad results.. DIET wise_ but if you do that for your daughter, be aware of B12 reduction in her diet from fewer grains.. she may need some extra. There is a difference in what you have learned in the Geno book alone.. there is much info in the earlier books.. and one other thing.. if you are protecting her from all she eats .. you might cause her to have no 'anti' whatever for food she will be exposed to in other places.. so if the reaction is one she can understand at her age, is it good or bad for some exposure?? just asking.. could it be part of 'normal' living? and once more > you are all over the place but NOT on a simple more regular (same/unvaried ) diet/meal plan> to much change form one item to the next is even making me confused while reading your post.. yes do separate the egg white and feed it to your daughter 3 times a day in many ways.. candy form, on top of lemon meringue in omelete in strips cut from a skinny omelets strewn into a bullion broth .. Careful for foreign items there too-better make your own from a little meat cooked to death in water, then strained, with salt and a few veggies ... so you see trying through 'isolation' of one food for one day might be better than figuring it out with other food added -all jumbled up.. I am really inclined to ask.. does anyone have diabetes in her family?? non of my business, but it would be a clue to me.. all my answers are all just propositions.. but I do like your detective style. |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

Thanks but just to ease your mind emily does not get rye any more - i was just interested in others experience of food that may cause a problem that we are now or going to exclude.
the rye didn't seem to give her a problem so we let it go for a while. now we are fine tuning her diet it raised it's little head so it's gone.
we are doing thiss all now so we and she understands what makes her sitch - we try not to make a big deal out of it in front of her.
the reactions now are easily contriolled and almost minor.
we have had her on the same diet for months just cutting out stuff that obviously reacts with her, oj her face. and easing back on others that are only a mild itrritation.
In the allergies book, bye thw way rye and rye flour are allowed "infrequently" we had allowed her 3 crackers a week with her egg.

One of the settings on the SWAMI PRO is called Fail Safe, diet becomes highly restricted, might be worth a look at what it is all about. I know very little about what type of client this would be used on. What I do know is that it moves eggs to the avoid column. Fail Safe Values: This allows SWAMI GenoType to compute Failsafe values. FAILSAFE stands for Free of Additives, Low in Salicylates, Amines and Flavor Enhancers and is Sue Dengate's term for the comprehensive low-chemical, low-reactive exclusion diet formulated by allergists at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Australia. You can expect the printout to be significantly restricted, so be careful using this with low compliance clients. |

Are you using swami, now? I'm asking because pomegranate is an avoid for gatherers. I understand that the food list can change somewhat from geno if so.
When I gave BD a boiled egg.. I'd let her eat whichever part she wanted. Usually she wanted the white (Omaga 3) but once in awhile she's eat the yoke or both. She ate them the best scrambled with bacon and veg. I didn't know anything about BTD at the time.
Keep up your good work, enjoy your little one. It really is true they grow up to fast

Omega 3 is only in yolke !!! - it is a "fat" and white contains almost none fat just protein. BTW white is far more allergy provoking than yolke A reason why I never feed babies whole eggs - just yolke untill alt least 9-10 months. |

the plus side is, yolk also contains natural lecithin, making fat absorption easier on our system!.....Dr D wrote a blog on this peculiarity. |

Pomegranate must be an avoid for secretors because its on my list as a neutral as a gatherer and it's a beneficial on the Allergies diet for Emily. she is a nonnie. maybe you should get a secretor test done. if you like pomegranate? |

SWAMi -pro is only for professionals, my thought was to just look up the diet that it uses to compute the Failsafe diet and see if it helps you in making food choices for your daughter. She is a child and can not be genotyped regardless if you find a practitioner in Ireland.
The Pro Version is available to MD's and other medical personal for a fee, through Dr. D'Adamo.
It is not something you can "upgrade to".
I know that this whole thing may seems frustrating to you, but she is a child and this will all work out over time as you keep working on her food choices. You have not been on the blood type (non secretor) diet for very long. It may take a year to work all the bugs out of her diet. In love.. Andrea |

how much is the software?
I'm a professional, I had the advantage of a private education and have two degrees already wouldn't take much to get another, I'm very focussed as you may have realised lol I owned my own insurance brokerage built from strach by myself without financial help from family, although they could easily afford to have helped, although I have quite a few business opportunities lining up at the moment, my main interest is by far and away my family.
Oh and I expect to have Emily diet sorted within a week not a year. Thanks I hasten to add to the good Doctors books and some very nice people on here. Fine tuning is all that is required.
I’m studying chemical at the moment. Frightening what they put in stuff – I am not long after telling my daughters doctor to stick his vaccination where the sun doesn’t shine. Lazy Arrogant moron.

Actually it is available in the UK through Tom Greenfield and possibly others that have master level certification from the Institute for Human Individuality. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Greenfield here is contact information: http://www.nature-cure.co.uk/naturopath/tom-greenfield.html |

I imagine that being as she has just turned 4 (last week) and was breast feed until she was 3 that we possible caught the most of any damage already she weaned very slowly and was vegan for 6 months. also we have been organic since she was born and pretty healthy before that for example amber never smoked in her life, she didn't drink alcohol at all yet she was pregnant, was fairly active during the pregnancy. amber quite by chance or possibly thanks to nature avoided a lot of avoid foods. |
